Stressful holiday
Hi - new to this site. My 4yr old grandson has been diagnosed with autism. He's just been on a short holiday with his mum, dad and 6 yr old sister. He got really upset about being away from home (although he'd been looking forward to going) and became violent. My daughter and son in law are very good

Medical assessment.
I suffered a stroke in October and had an assessment at the job centre last week. I'm expecting a letter in a week or two saying that I'm fit for work. The medical assessor (a big fat east european) never looked at any of the paperwork I gave him, including hospital appointments, info on polycythemia

April is Autism awareness month!!
I wanted to let you know about autism awareness month, you may have seen more reports in the news about autism recently? I'm a stylist for Stella & dot (a online jewellery company) and we are promoting autism awareness for the whole of April. We are selling a selective range of jewellery for autism.

Education
I feel that the current level of understanding regarding Autism in some schools is woefully poor. As a person on the spectrum, the mother of two children diagnosed with Aspergers and also a qualified Teacher, I feel that more needs to be done in order to enable children with an ASD. I feel the education

Tongue Question
Hi everyone, my 2 month old was just diagnosed with BWS yesterday. The presence of hemihypertrophy on his right side (arm & leg) and visible stork bites on his forehead and back of his neck led to the genetic testing and diagnosis. My question is regarding his tongue, specifically, the lack of visible

Liver blood results
Hi I had a liver resection surgery 14 months ago. My liver enzymes remain very high or out of range still, does anyone know, will they always be like this. Am being monitored, consultant was concerned about bile duct inflammation due to raised alkaline phosphor apse. Says he's not concerned anymore,

Special playtimes
Hi, I'm Jan Vance and have been a play therapist at The Children's Trust since 2004. During that time I have provided play therapy to support children during their residential placements for acquired brain injury rehabilitation. In this blog, I talk about how making time for special play can benefit

When I was in school I made mistakes on my school work and now I do the same on my job. I have poor memory, Im always forgetting things. I forget
