Rheumatologist appointment
Saw my rheumatologist today & finally had a breakdown. I was told I do have a form of arthritis but not sure which 1 as there is no inflammation, so was given a steroid injection. I've got 2 hope it takes pain away as that proves there is inflammation. Keep ur fingers crossed peeps

Nocturnal high blood pressure after thyroidectomy
My mom has a total thyroidectomy done about 6 weeks ago. About 3 weeks ago, she seems to start having nocturnal high blood pressure on and off. BP would be 150-170 / 95-110. I like to ask if this can be caused by high TSH and low FT3? Her latest results: TSH 32.14 (0.27-4.20) FT4 16.2 (12.0-22.0) FT3

End of the Road
Normally on the top of my game & 24 years into this RA fixture - really struggling . Last 12 months remission is a thing of the past and last 6 months has been jumping through the NHS hoops & increasing medication ( 20mg metojet) , steroid injections etc etc & uphill battle as bloods do not reflect

A Baby Girl...at last
MY Baby Girl was born on 27.09.17 weighing 4lbs4oz She was born at 35wks. > Following my result from my low PAPP-A levels it appears they were right; there were some growth concerns from 30wks onwards and I was monitored closely by consultant . At 34 wks I was given steroid injections to mature her

Its now back and my GP put a referral in for another one in August but I was sent to physio/musculoskeletal assessment instead. Now my rheumatologist has put a stop to having another steroid

Bloods before and after steroid injection
Could anyone please help me with these results. I've noticed from one result to the next my ESR and CRP score has dropped significantly since the steroid injection. I'm presuming that's good as that is inflammatorys right? Also any insight on what the others are?

Lots of needles!!
Hi everyone, I have not been on this site for ages. Well I had my flu jab 2 weeks ago, the site remained very hot and hard for a week, a steroid injection last week. Then at the end of October blood tests in advance of having 5 days of Iloprost the first week in November, so yes lots of needles! But

7 DAYS POST - Steroid Hip Injections
It's been a week since these steroid injections were given, I had one in both hips. The 3 anaesthetic injections were more painful than the hip one. The first few hrs I did feel wonderful, but by night time I was in a lot of pain and could hardly stand or walk. I realised that my body still had the
