MXT and mouth problems
Hi I'm on 10ml of mxt injections as I couldn't tolerate the tablets. So far they're not working (but accept I've only had 5 doses). Anyway the specialist nurse wanted to increase methotrexate dose as I'm in a bad flare but says she can't as I'm got lesions in my mouth which are bleeding and making it

Time to give up on Enbrel?
At the end of 2017 I was switched from Enbrel to Benepali with awful consequences. Eventually in April last year I went back on to Enbrel but it's just not been anywhere near as effective. I've switched from Mtx tabs to injections s to see if that would help but I just seem to be in a vicious circle

Flare up...again! Advice please, am I doing the right thing?
Hi all. I'm a regular reader of posts and find this site massively helpful. Diagnosed December 2016. Age 56. Down to 6/5.5mg. hip pain was starting again through January. Also thighs and buttocks hurting. At its worst unable to walk upstairs, or even on the flat very far. Felt this was a flare up starting

Feeling worse after steroid injection
I had my first rheumatologist appointment in the first week of January and was given a steroid injection in the backside. After a day or two I started to feel good, aches and pains in joints were gone, along with the morning stiffness it was bliss! Roll on 3 weeks later I felt bad in the mornings again

Treatment options -pros and cons
Hi everyone. Sorry I’ve not been on much again lately - it feels like I’m only ever here asking for help rather than giving it but unfortunately life just seems to keep getting in the way and I just run out of energy I’m afraid. Sooo - apologies in advance as this is a long one. I had an appointment

It would be very interesting to hear from men out there and whether they were sent for a physiological assessment at any stage?
Time and time again I am reading the same story but from different people! It breaks my heart to read some of your posts. Now I’m sitting here thinking and wondering if men are experiencing the same? I would really like to hear from a few males and their journey to a diagnosis? Does Lupus UK have

Rheumatology appointment success at last.
Appointment today finally got some results 😁😁 Told consultant I was happy being left to feel all alone to cope with this. Told her I couldn't get an appointment for love nor money since mid November, so I'd restarted mycophenelate mofetifil 1500 mg. She was saddened to hear I'd been suffering so badly

Persistent knee rash
Good morning warriors! I hope you're well. I could do with calming my worry by seeing what you guys think of this... I think I worry myself too much! I've been flaring (still am - both knees, hips, elbows and knuckles) but over a week ago I noticed a pink rash on my right (already swollen) knee. I hadn't

Living with RA
Hi everyone! I’m 38 and was diagonsed with RA in May 2018 after suffering from a 4 month flare up which the Dr initially put down to vitamin D deficiency! I was diagnosed pretty quickly and immediately given a steroid injection to help alleviate the pain and out on Methotrexate 10mg. I am now pain free

Have I got Lupus
Hi Guys I have been having tests done as i have been suffering from pain for over a year now. Yesterday the doc said the Lupus test has come back positive. He gave me a steroid injection and said that will help for the next 6-8 weeks till i go back to see him. I'm confused, have I got Lupus?

Steroid injection
Had a steroid injection in buttocks this morning and already all the stiffness in my feet/ankles is gone and all the pain. What amazing stuff it is. Such a shame it is so damaging otherwise I would stay on it forever. Been in terrible pain everyday for 6 months and this is the first pain free day.
