Need Help
Hi Friends, I would appreciate your encouraging words tonight. I found out I have another relapse again. Just had one last October and May last year. Ugh! This relapse is minor thankfully, because I caught it earlier first time in 6 years having MS. I’m happy about that! A few weeks ago, I started feeling

Just diagnosed - vasculitis GPA
Hi, I am so glad I've found this site as I am just at the start of my vasculitis journey and from what I read, seen and heard I will need all the help I can get. I suspect my immune system got triggered when I donated blood in August 2018 - I got really sick during the process. Nothing unusual, it happens

Hi everyone I’ve not posted on here for a while but I do read the posts when I can. I’ve been feeling marvellous for a few months now and more happier with things due to having steroid injections in my left foot which is very badly damaged by RA. Surgeon says next step is 4 bone fusion so trying to

Steroid injection
Has anybody had a general steroid injection (Depro-medrone?) to reduce overall inflammation? I'm looking into options to avoid going back on Pred. I mentioned it at the last rheumy appointment but the doc was shoving me out of the door after 10 mins and just said the dose was only about the equivalent

Steroid injections for right shoulder pain
Hi guys and gals, I have confirmed arthritis in my right shoulder and also C3 to C6 in neck. Neck is manageable and generally is only mildly bothersome and is usually managed by exercises. Shoulder is a totally different issue and varies from a dull ache to incredible stabbing pain or longer periods

I need your help
I had both ovaries & tubes removed December 2017 due to large cysts of irregular shape & the possibility of them turning cancerous. I had a delta scan 20 months ago & it came back as excellent. I developed a frozen shoulder January 2018 & had 2 steroid injections the second one left me in agony. My back

I have had numerous flares in my knees over the years and the pattern is always, I live with it for a few weeks, it never goes away and I get a steroid injection and aspiration and I am happy again. This time, swelling stared in second week of jan, I eventually

Sorry I've not been about for a while. I've just been struggling silently. Anyway my nurse has put me forward to my rheumatologist to be trailed for biologics. I've tried mtx, hydroxychloroquine and sulphasalezine and none have worked well enough and even the steroid injections just don't have the same

Prednisolone and steroid injections
I’m currently on 10mg prednisolone for PMR and have bursitis in my upper arm also. My rheumy wants to give me a steroid injection for the pain in my arm, has anyone else had this injection whilst already taking prednisolone and how did you get on? Thanks for any advice

I was placed on Methotrexate immediately and given a steroid injection. A few weeks later the wrist pain came back, along with neck pain. Again, I

My new drug cocktail
Having had ongoing issues with painful swollen knees I have added leflunomide to my prednisolone and hydroxychloroquine. My rheumy still believes I have PMR (diagnosed March 2016) but believes something else is at play with my knees as she said she hasn’t seen it present in large joints in the way mine
