Private Jabs?
Can I have steroid injections privately? I've had a few over the past 5 years with varying results both into joints and in my bottom. I had a rheumy appointment last week and they gave me a jab to help with my pain. When I woke up next day I thought I was dreaming! I've never had such a fast result

Help!!
Hey Everyone, Really hoping someone can help been going round in circles for sooo long. I get constant mouth sores it has been going on for over a year now, but they are not always the typical mouth full of ulcers people seem to get with Bechet's, sometime the ulcers are just one at a time , some times

Methotrexate injections and bleeding.
I had been on 15mg mtx injections for 7 months about to increase to 20mgs. However, they discovered blood in stool as well as increased size in blood cells. MTX was stopped, and I had a colonscope as well as endoscopy to find source of bleeding. Nothing sinister was found apart from a few polyps.

Not typical PMR ?? Long covid related and back problem.
I posted a few months ago about my symptoms and you were very helpful with advice suggesting it might be long covid related as the symptoms appeared a week after getting covid. ESR levels were 57 and CPR 7 After being put on steroids they came down to normal levels quite quickly but the pains didn't

Steroid injections
has anyone had a steroid injection of 120 mg. I had one five weeks ago, wasn’t told of the strength of it until today, I have felt much better since, joints are not aching although I feel drugged - I am concerned that this was such a high dose - it has not been suggested that I have any follow up consultation

Hello everyone Just popping up again to show you all these two cute harvest mice. They were photographed braving the brambles to get to the blackberries to have a feast. I love them and hope you do too. I hope your all as well as possible and coping with all that this change of season brings.

Steroid dose after operation
I am having an eye operation next week. It involves a retina peel because of a perimedial retina and an cataract operation. For a number of reasons, I am having it done under general anaesthetic. I know it will involve a steroid injection. At the moment, I am on 6.5 m . The anaesthetist has said I

Has anyone had a steroid injection for ischial bursitis, or pains in each buttock?
My PMR started with pains in each buttock as a result of sitting on a wrought iron chair (without cushion) for a couple of hours at a friend's birthday party. Looking back I now realise how daft that was. After several months I was diagnosed and put onto 15mg prednisolone. This was reduced over the
