Weird presentation of alopecia
Hi guys, Sorry this is my first post, I haven’t known what to say in the past but my alopecia seems to have gone into overdrive. I’ve already had steroid injections earlier this year, then suffered a bout of telogen effluvium which took about 60% of the hair I had left. I am looking hot ;). In the last

Hi warriors.. Again 😁 The rheumatology nurse phoned me yesterday and said they need me in tomorrow (Friday) for a steroid injection and to start treatment. She mentioned sulfasalazine and maybe another dmard. Hoping this works well and I can get back to work soon, but still really worried about doing

Really Impressed with the speed it will less than a month from Rheumatology appt to nurse. I hope this works I’ve had to request another steroid injection as I was struggling

Wider area pelvic pain - vague!
HI, new to this forum. I have Ischial tuberosity (sit bone pane, but not bursa, it's like sitting on bone) and glute pain. Mainly down one side but not always by any means. This effects the lower back and feels horribly awkward and often painful to sit or walk etc. I cannot walk far or drive far etc

Cramp
Does anyone have constant night cramps? I had a big flare 3weeks ago & the lovely rheumy nurse gave me a steroid injection, since then I’ve had the most painful cramp in both legs & feet. The flare has died down, but the cramps have got steadily worse, have upped my water intake, eaten bananas, tried

New Month Same Plan.
Got through February somehow,10 hours trotting and not my Jan 15hours. Have not managed to increased my build up run of 11k. But hope to get back to the HM distance during and by March. Feeling more comfortable since dropping the gym that my house and garden projects will suffice and satisfy weekly strength

Shoulder pain
Hi everyone, a few of you will know I’ve been struggling with severe pain in both my shoulders. I can’t lift my left arm above waist height and my right arm is slightly better but not much. I can’t sleep at night as I can’t get comfy as can’t lie on either side. So am looking like a zombie with black

Feeling so low at the moment
I truly don’t know what is a matter with me right now. I am usually a bubbly positive person but this last month I am slowly but very surely losing the motivation to do things. I have recently been treated for low vitamin D and a flare up. The pain is better than it was but still having to take maximum

I know you fellow sufferers out there understand so I’m just venting as I feel NO ONE else truly ‘gets it’ For anyone that hasn’t seen my previous posts.... I was diagnosed last August and have been very well looked after by the hospital. With a complication of my neutrophils (infection fighting cells

Yoga and RA?
After 7 months on methotrexate and steroid injections with very little relief from joint pain in my hands, wrists and feet I am finally starting biological injections on Monday which will be fortnightly. I can’t wait to come off all the drugs I have been taking and really hope the biologicals work for

I have that Friday Feeling
It’s Friday and what a difference a week can make. Last Friday I couldn’t even dress myself but thanks for being brave and asking for help I am feeling so much better today. The steroid injection is now working it’s magic. Yay! Have a lovely day. 😊

Difficulty sleeping
For the last couple of months I am really struggling to sleep which is really impacting on my emotional health too. Initially my difficulty sleeping was thought to be due to my low vitamin D levels which I have been treated for. Having a flare up at the moment and was given a steroid injection last week

Here we go again...
Hi all! My last post (I’ve just checked!) was an embarrassing 4 whole years ago, when, according to my posts at least, I was doing alright, training for a 10k (which I completed along with a couple of others!) and running regularly. But, as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end and my

Sore muscles
Can anyone help me? Both my mum and myself have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Once we got t4 and I also got t3 we realised we had very sore leg muscles which has gradually got worse and worse. My mum was prescribed steroid injections . I wondered if my muscle pain is due to lactic acid . Any thoughts

Appointment with Rheumatology nurse
I’m back home now after my appointment with the Rheumatology nurse. Been given a steroid injection to try and calm this flare up down and advised to not overdo it. Learning that balance between not overdoing it and resting is a fine balance. My rheumatology nurse is going to give me a call in the next

Pain in upper arms - steroid injections?
Hi Everyone, this is my first ME post. I have been suffering since the end of last October with pains in my upper arms, I can't raise my left arm to it's full capacity. I believe this could be another symptom of ME? I have seen my GP who does not know what it can be, I am having an X-ray next week.
