Why all these PPI are not working for me?
I have been diagnosed beginning of April with esophageal reflux, acid gastritis, duodenal ulcers and inflamed Xiphoid process. They gave me a steroid injection on my Xiphoid which aggravated the ulcers. Don’t ask me why they did that?! I took pantoprazole for three weeks didn’t help and now for a week

Hi Since last year I've been suffering severe pain from sciatica, brought on by a slipped disc. I had the steroid injection in March which helped for about 5 days. I'm worse than ever but can't get seen for anything by any specialist because of covid, all non emergency departments are closed, but I'm

Pain killers choice over side effects long term
I’ve been in a lot of pain lately in my chest neck and shoulder Currently on 3.5mg pred , I know I have two substantial edema’s on both ends of my left collarbone with the associated osteoarthritis that tends to underly the fluid build up. Rhuemy says don’t increase the pred , I took 60mg of Arcoxia

Stomach acid meds , which one plus chest pain goes on and on
Hi All , I was on 2.5mg of Pred , stomach was coping ok, had a flare up and increased to 4.5mg didn’t stop the rib and sternum pain but made it bearable, I have a lot of fluid build up on both ends of my left collarbone hoping that is what is causing the chest pain I was told by the surgeon that repaired

Pain
Morning everyone. I’ve woken up this morning and have really bad pain. The kind that makes you cry. I have been having flare ups since November and was last seen by my rheumy nurse in Feb and given a steroid injection which helped a little but was very short lived, the nurse was going to be speaking

Has anyone had a Steroid injection whilst on anticoagulants for AF?
I have had AF for many years and currently taking Rivaroxaban, Nebivolol, Felodipine and Ranitidine. I have been suffering from Plantar Fascitis for several months and just can’t shake it off. It has now been suggested that I have an ultrasound guided steroid injection into my foot. Obviously, this can

Steroid Injection in Knee - Mobility
I have been in a "significant flare" since September 2019, my consultant's words. My consultant was off for a year so I was seeing different doctors, they did give me a course of steroids and a couple of steroid injection put me on leflunomide. None of these worked, I already have been on all DMARDs

First rheumatology steroid injections today and nervous bevause of coronavirus!
I'm 20 years old and feeling very anxious about my upcoming hospital appointment as I have recently had the flu and am still recovering but I'm meant to be starting my steroid injections today. With all of this growing concern surrounding the coronavirus I'm scared as I know this weakens your immune

Contact with rhuemy nurse
I rang the medical secretary for rheumatology today as not been able to get back in touch with rheumy nurse and no facility to leave a message. Spoke with medical secretary and got a call back from rheumy nurse this afternoon. Saw rhuemy nurse a few weeks ago and had a steroid injection a few weeks ago

They’re not all bad!
Saw a GP at 8am about my one sided pain. Hadn’t seen her before but she had great listening skills. Decided on x-ray to start with of right shoulder and neck to rule out any OA and booked for steroid injection for trochantic bursitis. Legged to it to x-ray department ( well ok it was actually a hobble

Shoulders
Hi everyone hope you’re all as good as can be. Well today I went to ARI and had the steroid injection and to my utter amazement, it wasn’t too bad. What can I say, I’m a wimp. The anaesthetic has worn off so pain killers it is 🥴. Waiting on a physio appointment now, and once my left shoulder is good

Weird presentation of alopecia
Hi guys, Sorry this is my first post, I haven’t known what to say in the past but my alopecia seems to have gone into overdrive. I’ve already had steroid injections earlier this year, then suffered a bout of telogen effluvium which took about 60% of the hair I had left. I am looking hot ;). In the last
