headache update #3
Yesterday was bad. Last night agony. Went back to instant care today hoping for the steroid injection the ER Dr recommended. Dr said in his experience the shots aren’t super effective and don’t last long. He did seem to agree with the occipital neuralgia diagnosis. So instead we are going with stronger

guided steroid injection
I’m due to have a guided steroid injection in the big knuckle joint on my foot to alleviate pain, stiffness and immobility caused by my rheumatoid condition. . I’m hoping it may also help the tendinitis and Enthetitis that resulted from a severe leg muscle injury that was untreated due to the pandemic

Steroid injection
I have a frozen shoulder and have been offered a steroid injection. I am on Hydroxy and Aspirin.I am wondering if anyone else has had the injection and if they had any side effects. I am a little concerned that it's Kenalog, which I thought was banned in UK. Although I am desperate to get rid of the

Newly diagnosed GPA without renal involvement. Sorry it’s long.
I’m extremely responsive to
steroids
and the PMR
steroids
may have helped keep inflammation at bay for awhile. We discussed treatment options and I’ll be starting Rituximab infusions soon after a bit of “housekeeping,” catching up on vaccines I’ve missed and so on.

Hi, new to this page/forum, looking for information and advice.
Have been on PAS page and Thyroid UK page for a few years but just thought I'd be greedy and join yourselves too. Have been having increasing levels of pain and discomfort for years but just told lose weight, take brufen. Last few years have been awful , eventually got a referral to Rheumatology. Bloods

‼ The lesion featured in this post may look like eczema or benign skin lesion, but it is in fact a melanoma! In rarer cases, all types of melanoma can lack pigmentation – these are known as amelanotic melanoma. Jane’s story below highlights just how important it is to get any abnormalities checked out

The
steroids
help ease the pain during the day but then evening/night time it gets worse again. I run out of

To circumcise or not to circumcise
Hi I'm 45, fit, not smoking, very little alcohol, regular exercise. Few years ago I was diagnosed with lichen sclerosis by a leading UK expert in genital dermatology prof Bunker. I didn't have any severe symptoms just some small red spots but no pain etc. at least not visible to me but he was confident

I built muscle naturally, no
steroids
. As my testosterone naturally decreased in my late 50’s I started gradually shedding muscle mass. Still worked out, ran, biked and I was okay with this natural decline.

scalp dermatitis connected ?
because I’m of a paranoid nature and ever aware of GCA I’m wondering how can I get this when on
steroids
which treat skin conditions although maybe they have to be topical so could it be a more unusual symptom of gca. I have a vague headache all over not enough to properly know about if.
