Leaking Macula due to steroids?
The optician said

can cause it. I have an urgent referral to the eye hospital. Has anybody else been told they have this and it is due to

?

Mask wearing!
He said it is because I have active RA, I am taking
steroids
and methotrexate, and the risks from a virus like Covid are a lot higher for me. Do you folks wear a mask when you visit the hospital for example? When I attend a hospital appointment I am the only person in the building wearing a mask!

intermittent fasting - impact of delaying steroid intake
There are many health benefits including anti inflammatory and bone health in this process but I am wondering how my body might cope waiting for its
steroids
? I guess it’s only 1 day out of kilter and then it’s just a new time ? Any experience out there ? Thank you ( ps I’m on 3mg of pred )

Not best pleased as already have asthma but more because a lot of my care and treatment has been reactive...have some more antibiotics and
steroids
that clearly weren't working! I see my Respiratory Consultant tomorrow so let's see what he comes up with.

I have since heard that it’s not good to take them whilst taking
steroids
but cant find much about it on Mr Google so am presuming it’s no big deal. I dont take them till lunchtime with when I take my Calcium and Vitamin d3 so there are several hours between
steroids
and FSO.

Hair thinning on steroids
My questions are: does this start to improve as you taper down the
steroids
, and especially, does hair regrow and thicken again when you manage to get off
steroids
? Has anyone found any other treatment like folate useful? Many thanks.

episode 6 of a limited series!
My whinge on this occasion is that the doctor I saw last time and who had arranged this test seems to be on a crusade to get as many patients as possible off
steroids

Haemophilus Influenzae
Then when it went into the eyes, an Opthalmologist prescribed antibiotic eye drops and eye drops that were
steroids
. This time it went from May 20th until a week ago, and I had doxycycline and again a six day steroid set of pills.

Tinnitus and hearing loss in one ear - not sure what to do next
The audiologist did note that if I had been seen in the first 48 hours, they would have prescribed
steroids
, but too late for that now (slightly frustrating thing to know!). Tinnitus has been almost constant since the syringing, though has fluctuated and changed sounds from hissing, ringing, etc.

Nothing stopped them:
steroids
, migraine medication, etc. They have suddenly stopped. I've had migraines my whole life, but never a run like that after a procedure (and they are largely controlled with CGRP inhibitors).

Actemra and diverticulitis- a link?
I’ve been on Actemra for about 6 months, am still on 17.5 prednisolone and have had to increase to 20 or 25 several times for flares, stress etc, so it doesn’t seem to be helping to save the
steroids

Frustrated with clinic
They advised additional treatment for this protocol (
steroids
and intralipids), but forgot to add it to my treatment plan until I pointed it out. Then they listed my drugs but missed the dates to start and doses for some.

Pondering what to do
The inflammation is still not under control and aside the long term/ unknown impacts, I am tolerating the
steroids
well so tempted to increase to 60mg (but no higher) with or without her consent.

Stopped Tocilizumab, CRP rising, is it a GCA flare?
I'm hoping to find someone else who had GCA, has stopped taking
steroids
and stopped Tocilizumab (Actemra), to know how their journey went from then on without treatment. I was diagnosed with GCA over 3 years ago.
