🍏The Simplicity of running
.….. the weather is awesome for
running
today, no wind or rain, no sun in my eyes…just a cool breeze on my cheeks. Oh how grateful I am for the simplicity of
running
! No equipment needed beside my trainers, the coach in my ear, and the will to do it!

Wet weather running... help please!
I admit I'm a dry weather runner! There's not been much of that about recently in my neck of the woods. I went out today and in 10 minutes I was getting very damp, so headed for home. My feet stay nice and dry, but it's everywhere else that gets a good soaking. I'm not just a wimp... I'm recovering

Running through the Eves
Running
, especially
running
outdoors was something that instilled me with fear and disinterest, yet some part of me longed to go and do it. Now, I can't focus properly if I know that I have potentially missed a training window.

Running Out of Options
Hi I’m 62, and a coeliac, and I was diagnosed with seronegative RA and Sjogrens Syndrome about 3 years ago, after 5 years of issues with pain and neuropathy in my hands and feet, followed by swellings in the joints. This was confirmed by an MRI. So far, I’ve tried the following: Methotrexate (constant

return to running after plantar fasciitis
Hi there, Any advise would be great please. 🙏 I’ve had plantar fasciitis for 8 months and arch pain, couldn’t run, walking was very painful in my heel. A podiatrist advised I have high arches and prescribed orthotics for my daily shoes. The pain has finally gone and I’d love to start the couch25k

Any other second time rounders?
I’m loving repeating many of the runs to get me back into
running
with the lighter evenings! I completed the programme in 2019 and it was the turning point for my fitness for which I’m so grateful! Turned more to spinning and body pump in that time so hadn’t done much

Gave myself a running reward that will give myself a running reward!
Yup she did, and the challenge is about
running
the marathon distance over 2 months! And by that time, I should have finished my 5k plan! Which reminds me, now… what reward can I give myself for the 5k plan? Happy

Anecdotal, but running could boost immunity
I am reading a lovely book of essays called These Precious Days by Ann Patchett. In the title essay a friend of the author is taking part in a clinical trial, having chemotherapy for pancreatic cancer. As you will know, Chemo destroys white blood cells which provide immunity, so you have to have a high

Woohoo First 20 minute run for a while with no pain 👏👏👏👏🎉🎉🎉🎉
so I went back to my first
running
route as I had an idea of where 20 minutes would be and off I went. It felt great with no niggles at all. At long last I feel that I’m back out there
running
again.

Baby you’re a firework lighter
Don’t compare yourself too much to other people (especially
running
times). As long as you are
running
then you are doing great. keep up the good work everyone! (Thanks for reading this 😄)

Finally I made a sub 30 5k
I started
running
about 2 years ago aged 59 with the C25k program and have truly loved my
running
journey. I will be doing my 2nd 10k race this year and hope to do a 10 miler later on. It’s never too late as they say and anything is possible. Keep on
running
folks. 🏃🏼♀️➡️

Distance increasing nicely but did have to compromise.
Where I live I have limited options with regards a route when
running
from my house without having to double back on myself. The loop I run was OK up until about 35 minutes
running
and 2 lots of 5 minute walks as that took me door to door.

HU 10k Done, Just About!
My idea of
running
1km, walking 500m,
running
1km quickly morphed into
running
500m, walking 500m and my legs were screaming at me by the end, but I did it!
