Argh the itch!!
My lap scars have just started itching like MAD which I know is normal healing but it is driving me mental. How long does it last and do you think antihistamines would help? Argh I'm scared I'm going to scratch a stitch out ?

Enbrel reaction
Hi, this is my first post. I was diagnosed with RA two years ago and I've tried Sulphasalazine, Methotrexate and Laflunomide but had adverse reactions to all of them. I was put on Enbrel three weeks ago and because I'm quiet sensitive to medication i.e. various antibiotics, the nurse who came to show

itching on my scalp
Be thankful if you dont get the itch in your hair! I get it on the back of my head and where ever I lay my head on the pillow it itches and burns. I can not sleep. I have started taking piriton which eases it ever so slightly but now they are saying antihistamines cause alzheimers! What can I do?

My mum is just approaching her third chemo treatment this friday after initially being diagnosed with OC Clear cell 1c. On her first treatment she did really well apart from Day 10, woke up in a horrific red itchy rash this happened on christmas day. On boxing day we were told to bring her in to hospital

Cat allergy?
My husband has had a dry tickly cough for about 6-8 weeks now which has recently gotten worse and is keeping him awake at night. He went to the doctors last week after a particularly bad night. The Dr examined his chest which was clear and suggested he might have a cat allergy and prescribed antihistamines

Antihistamines (Citirizine) helping asthma?
Does anyone else find Citirizine or other anthistamines help their asthma? I was feeling a bit tight chested, took one, and my tight chest went away?? Also, does anyone else find that sometimes they get a bit tight chested, but the tightness goes away on its own?!

Rashes
Hi I have been suffering with rashes and itchy skin for almost 2 years now. I take antihistamines and sometimes need them twice daily. I have been referred to a Dermatologist but appointment not for another month. I have Raynauds, diagnosed in 2007. Since Christmas and before I have a poor sleep pattern

Skin rash
Hello. Has anyone else had problems with a red rash on their face? Mine is around my nose and in the smile lines. It's not very itchy, but it's a bit scaly and sore when I wash. Recently it's spread a little. I've tried antihistamines and changed to a sensitive skincare range but nothing helps. I've

Any Advice, chemical sensitivity
I have been taking 25mg levothyroxine for 3 weeks now (TSH 5.87 (0.35 to 6) FT4 13.78 (12-22) FT3 5 (3.1 - 6.8) TPO AB 396) blood test next week to check TSH and ESR (NHS lab will not test FT4). I will be asking doctor to increase to 50mg, happy to start very slowly as I have been known not to tolerate

My husband has had awful problems with various DMARDS and came off Suphasalazine in September after bad side effects. Since then he has had problems with increasing CRP levels (now at 50), low iron and b12. He has also started itching all over his body - this is keeping him awake at night and he large

Itchy skin
Just been having a look around the internet, my anti histamines don't seem to be reducing the itch much at the moment and have found this: Oral antihistamines. Your doctor may recommend anti-allergy medications to ease your itch. This group of medications includes over-the-counter drugs that don't make

POST NASAL DRIP - what is it ?
Every day, glands in the lining of your nose, throat, airways, stomach, and intestinal tract produce about 1 to 2 quarts of mucus -- a thick, wet substance that moistens these areas and helps trap and destroy foreign invaders like bacteria and viruses before they can get into your body and cause infection

Itchy bumps
I know this is a subject that has appeared before but it seems to me that no one has ever come up with a specific diagnosis/treatment for the spontaneous bumps that appear and cause so much discomfort. Have been seen by dermatologist who biopsied same - report states insect bites - these are definitely

MTX and ants
Quick update on the ant problem!! It went on to being a prickly burning and feeling like I had fleas so I rang the rheumy after my GP wasn't sure what was causing it. He has advised me to take antihistamines and drop MTX back down to 10mg. Hoping this helps the itchies as it was a killer at work today
