I have just seen my immunologist yesterday as my immune system is shot to pieces. I have and have for a few years COPD and Bronchiectasis. I have now been told by my specialist that my blood is no longer producing enough antibodies or protein and as I have been on long term antibiotics the next step

Lower back pain when walking
Hi, I was recently diagnosed with uat and am taking thyroxine (100mg) and my doc has said he feels it will have to be increased. I didn't get told what the results of the blood tests actually were. He did check my antibodies and said the uat was caused by my immune system. My doc is very thorough though

My husband has WG and after over 3 years of treatment is now having problems with his bloods. Cells, platelets, haemoglobin have crashed.
His bone marrow is not functioning properly. Has anyone had this and what does it mean? The hospital have done some tests but we have no answers yet. He had a blood transfusion today but is only a temporary fix.

Mycophenalate and flares and denial and fed up!
Been on an increasing dose of Myco for a couple of weeks and am now on 1g twice a day. 2 weeks ago when I went up to this final dose I had a stressful few days and became overtired resulting in a flare. I am presuming it is a flare and not a reaction to Myco. Thing is, when should the Myco work effectively

Hospital admission
Been in hospital since last week. Brain scan was alright but blood result wasn't . My haemoglobin is 3.2 which is to to be at least 11 which means I would need blood transfusion. Repeat blood was done on Friday but was told result is not back. The consultant said on Friday he will review me today. No

Hi all, so at my 12 week scan I was a bit shocked to find out that I am expecting identical twins in October, after the shock wore off, (this took a couple of weeks) im ecstatic. Before I knew, I had got my head around having one baby and knew how hard it was going to be as im going to be a single mum

After a long fight, I had an IV iron infusion yesterday - here's my report back
Hi all I've been iron deficient since needing multiple blood transfusions in 07 as a result of fibroids. I could never keep my levels up after that despite 420 mg ferrous fumerate daily. NHS gps were disinterested and found a ferritin of 18 normal- despite my hypo T, CF, hair loss, etc. My serum

Hello all, I'm new to this site and a bit puzzled as to my husband's health. He was admitted to hospital 24th Jan with breathing difficulties and was an awful colour, he's had a bad chest for years but wouldn't go to the doctors, typical male! He was diagnosed with exacerbation of COPD and was kept
