Deteriorating hearing but no change to AN following contrast MRI
Has anyone experienced further hearing loss and several tinnitus sounds in same ear? I have had no chandpge in AN for 6 months so on watch and wait but finding it hard to follow tv without subtitles. Noticed that I now cannot use my Apple EarPod in right ear by itself. Going in social settings is completely

Where to next!?
So my last run was last September. I had started doing C25K again after and injury over the summer and got back to the end of week 4. But then it stopped! I had some muscular problems and took myself off to the physio which I assumed would mean a break of a couple of weeks. Months later I am still not

Well Woman physio
Well had an appt with a private physio, who is so well experienced in womens troubles. So wish I had visited her before going on these tablets. They have not been good for me. She has given me hope for no surgery. The last months have been awful. But she has written to my GP saying estrogen cream

6.5mg and Anxiety
After 2 years I have managed to taper down Prednisolone to 6.5 mg. PMR pain seems pretty much under conytol although I still have lower back and leg pain which both the rheumatologist and the orthopaedic consultant say is due to wear and rear and for which I will soon start physio. So what about the C25K deniers?
Hi everyone, a couple of weeks ago I sent up a bit of a wail having torn a calf muscle on W1R3. Thanks for your encouragement back then. Have put the crutches away now and getting physio to strengthen back up. However sooo many people have said running is bad for the joints and tendons: even venerable

re-starting preds after a break
I’d been on prednisolone since 15mg prescribed in 2018 until I managed to wean myself off them after 3 years, but only for 5 months when my symptoms returned and I had to go back on them at 15mg again. Last August I'd weaned myself off them again and came off them, but think I was over optimistic

Having such a difficult time and not sure what to do
I had a laparoscopy in Sept 2021 after years of struggling with pain and periods. The surgeon said (pre op) there was a cyst on one ovary but didn’t think it was endometriosis but would remove and see if it helped. During the operation he found endometriosis, removed the right ovary and tube and said

Hubby discharged from hospital but so many issues
After 6 weeks, hubby was released from the hospital yesterday, which is great, but.... Due to medications he is on, he has no bowel control and very little bladder control. Whilst in hospital he was kept in adult nappies but they haven't provided any to him. This is affecting both of us mentally. I bought

Update on my father. Triplet therapy?
After my last post, my father underwent spinal cord decompression surgery - they did laminectomy and partial corpectomy of the fractured vertebrae and did pedicular screw fixation to stabilize the spine. It's been 2 weeks since surgery and he is prescribed bed rest for 4-6 weeks. After 1-2 more weeks

Profundus and swelling joints
I was diagnosed with lupus profundus 15 years ago now after I lost tissue in both arms. I take hydroxychloroquine and have only had 1 bad skin flare up since. My problem is if I fall I bruise terribly and end up with swollen knees or ankles for months . I see physio dept for help and they tell me I will

I feel your pain
I have been diagnosed recently with fibroids. All started by completing an online diagnostic assessment foe physio on my hands. Glad I continued with the assessment because at the end I was told to call 111 asap. I have so far had an x Ray ultrasound transvaginal ultrasound twice. I have a MRI

fnd since may 2022
my FND came on after the birth of my daughter. Started with vertigo, balance issues, fleeting paralysis until July when my full body went into paralysis and continued to do so for weeks. In and out of paralysis. Was admitted into the hospital and since then I’ve had almost every symptom you can get it

How much should I pester?
Currently on Hydroxychloroquine, and have been for 7 months. I don't have a definite diagnosis, just that there is signs of mild synovitis in my hands and wrists (but these were the only joints scanned as they were the worst at the time of tests. I also have hypermobility, and B12 deficiency (which I

Happy New year everyone. My husband's mobility is now extremely bad, taking diazepam for pain. He is sleeping mostly and not eating. I have spoken to our gp this morning about my concerns of him taking this as he continues to drink over 20 bottles of strong beer daily. He has a physio appointment next

Surgery
My surgery date is set a few days before Christmas and I’ll be doing
physiotherapy
for a few months after. I’m only 19 and have a bulging disc, plus the disc above that one is slightly protruding. I also was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease.
