Avioding Coming a cropper when we are trying to regain a level of fitness
I wondered if anyone else has experience of getting back to some degree of fitness once the dose of thyroid hormones was adequate - whatever the form that took (T4 only, T3 only, Combo T4/T3 or NDT). thought it might be good to share this, in the hope of others avoiding the mistakes I made. Mine is

Recently Diagnosed Fibromyalgia
Hi all first post on this forum. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia last week but have had symptoms (fatigue, low mood, whole body aches) for ages and took early retirement in December. I’ve got osteopenia and been prescribed Gabapentin and co-codamol for compression fractures and disc compression

repeated upper respiratory viral infections
my daughter (12) has asthma and also dysfunctional breathing so it can be hard to know which one is causing her breathing difficulties at any point. When well she has breathing episodes/ difficulties approx 3 times a week brought on by exercise or changes in the air eg smoke, dust, temperature. Sometimes

My story - vaccines, Covid, questions and some things I've learned
This is a long hard story to write, but I hope it will help others. I think that is what this forum is about - our experience in an effort to help others. And it is to ask questions. I would ask that this be given respect and not be turned into a debate. I just want to tell my sad story and my many

The whole experience left me a bit shaken as I was alone and was expecting to get

, not whatever that was.

Restless Legs and Back Problems
I've had restless legs since my early 20s, I could manage it by exercise, 100 press-ups, 150 leg raises, severe stretching of my legs until they almost cramped. In my late 40s I started with severe back cramps, always in the cold season, it was so severe I spent week's inside walking around the house

In home care organisations and other support services in West Dorset
Thanks to everyone for your continued advise and helpful insights. I wondered if anyone is based in West Dorset a bit of an outpost for many organisations and services near the Dorset/Devon border?, We're are in Bridport and haven't needed to source and bring in carers to date but I think I'll need

The Danger of Falls and the warning signs and equipment to prevent them.
I was inspired to write this post by RTR1's recent post about her 1st fall. Falls are one of the most dangerous side effects of MS that affects a large percentage of MS patients. As our disability increases so does the likelihood of falls resulting from that disability. You might ask why I feel

Prolapse thoughts
Hi all, I'm 37 years old 4 months postnatal with first baby. I had diastasis recti so started exercises and wearing abdominal belt around a week after giving birth, but shortly after I started feeling a heaviness down below, so had a look in the mirror and suspected a prolapse. Like a fool, I've gone and talked myself into graded exercise therapy.
So I've been having a really, really tough few weeks, - well months actually - but last few weeks I've been mostly stuck in bed unable to perform simple cleaning tasks or even bend down and put the washing in the machine without experiencing dizziness and panting heavily when I stand up again and I haven't

Muscle cramping/pain w/ PSP
My sis in law has PSP. What success has anyone had (what helped) with muscle cramps in the legs? She is taking Baclofen & now the dr has added Norco for the pain. She has mostly been in a wheelchair for 5 months, but moved into a care facility & has just started physical therapy. She has also developed

Sudden severe back pain
I am seeing a neuro physio. I have explained that I am experiencing an increase in body pain over last eighteen months. She has given me exercises. On Thursday, I experienced sudden severe back pain, so severe that I couldn't walk. I was crying out when I moved. I have no recollection of injuring myself

Joint pain remedies - Infra red light?
Nothing seems to help with the anastrozole side effect of pain in joints, ligaments, muscles. I have been reading recently about infra-red light therapy (LED phototherapy - has a bunch of names), used on skin but also on athletes for injuries of all sorts. Has anyone tried this? If so, did you get
