I was diagnosed with lupus profundus 15 years ago now after I lost tissue in both arms. I take hydroxychloroquine and have only had 1 bad skin flare up since. My problem is if I fall I bruise terribly and end up with swollen knees or ankles for months . I see physio dept for help and they tell me I will take longer to heal...but I'm talking months of swollen joints. Also my vision is getting bad and I haven't had a proper eye exam at the hospital. I get seen by a Dermatologist every 6 months, no one else.
Confused

I had a number of things going wrong with my eyes, after covid- dry eyes, photophobia, muscles hurting as moved eyes etc etc.
I just sat down and literally made great long list, read it out to my GP and asked him to refer to eye hospital. It worked because so much was wrong, opticians had tried to refer and failed..
Now getting follow up appts every few months....so much so I think it is OTT and causing flares..
If get referred there they can pick up on loads of things, including enhanced OCT scans that screen for hcq changes.
