Hi,I recently went to see a consultant. I have a.10 year history of l5/s1 disc protrusion. Pain has changed the last few years and has been more in the facet joints. I have had 2 lots of facet injections over the last 2 years however had a bad flare up about 5 months ago which I am still recovering

Some Tentative Good News
I'm hesitant to jinx things but I've spoken several times on the forum about my battles over the last two years with dizziness and severe balance issues. Which literally came on overnight. Was diagnosed with Vestibular Migraine which I've never really accepted, I think the Neurologist and ENT consultant

RED February completed 🥳🥳
Well, it definitely wasn’t what I’d planned, but I finished it. To be fair, it was more correctly WED February. Having been suffering with piriformis issues ever since last September and having had numerous physio appointments, exercises etc. I was feeling a bit better so signed up for RED Feb on 29

Leflunomide - be alert!
I was diagnosed with severe bilateral ulnar neuropathic with sensory abnormalities in lower limbs and median and radial nerves in upper limbs. The neurologist says this is probable toxic neuropathy secondary to Leflunomide (based on correlation between the onset of the problem and the time of introduction

Frequent injuries when exercising.
I have been hypo for about 10 years, currently on 75mcg levo, and 10mcg lio but drop to 5mcg twice a week, otherwise my heart rate goes up from 60’s to 90’s. TSH 0.01, FT4 16.1, FT3 4.6, both 41% through range. Vit D 85. I find if I do even pilates, ligaments and bursae get easily inflamed. Eg an ankle

Bad day
A bad day for him today. He was sick before I got there, had a temperature and Dr thinks an infection. They've sent cultures off so they know what antibiotics to give him. Because of that, he's very confused, he mimed to me that the nurse is trying to kill him, I said no, she's trying to help you. He

WEEKLY CHAT: 26 February to 3 March
Good morning amazing runny friends; it’s Monday chat time yet again, which means that this is your opportunity to talk about anything you wish. The picture of Molly has nothing to do with this post really; I just wanted to demonstrate what happens when I try to sit down and type! This is her “I want

New here 🤗
Hi everyone, I’m looking for any information about bloods and Thyroid please. I was diagnosed in 2017 with chronic pain, chronic fatigue and osteoarthritis. I have tried all pain medications the NHS has, and nothing touches the pain. I have had horrendous pain in my feet, left one for over a year,

Another update
Hubby is doing okay. Ventilator numbers still down, should be off it by about Wednesday. They have to lower it by 1 every day. He is breathing on his own now, only got it to kick in if he stops. Fingers crossed by next weekend he can get the tracheotomy out.Physio worked him hard today and she says

here we go again😬
after 8 long months I finally summoned up the courage to run again. Long story short I had an op beg of last August, not allowed to run for 3 months, enforced sitting around aggravated my GTS, and then after physio for that I developed a painful/ weak ankle on the other side so more physio. Finally

I have had a suspected stress fracture ( wasn’t in the end!), bilateral plantar fasciitis and peroneal tendonitis . I have had shock wave therapy, steroid injections and lots and lots of physio! Me again
Hi, here again. He's doing really well. He's out in the chair each day, still hoisted but he was trying to stand and they had to tell him no you're not strong enough yet. Monday he was in the chair when I got there and they didn't put him back to bed until I left. He was getting tired towards the end

neuropathic pain from paralysed arm (trauma)
I was involved in a road traffic incident in 1996. The main injury I had was a trauma brachial plexus injury where my right arm was hyper extended and the ribs and shoulder support structure was fractured. The nerves for my arm, right upper chest and back were severely damaged/destroyed. The right arm

Oxygen levels
I have had COPD for around 15 years and it is getting steadily worse. I have the normal inhalers , have a air physio device, a nebuliser and recently have been accepted for oxygen therapy. On my last visit to hospital I was given the device that checks your oxygen levels. As I have only had this device

Laproscopy showed nothing
Yesterday had a lap and hysteroscopy all clear just wondering if anyone has got anywhere from this situation? Thinking pelvic physio, has anyone tried for chronic pelvic pain? This is what I think I have... Haven't had sex in over 6 months if I do I will be in pain and peeing continually for a week

Second little run and all seems ok 🤞🤞🤞
Well after last week’s little run and the physio saying I could do another run walk I decided that as it wasn’t raining this morning was the one. I was quite e xcited by the thought of getting out there again even if it was only to do W2R3. Off I went and I felt good. My ankle complained a little bit

Joint pain
HiI have a history of back problems with a disc. But more recently joint problems. The physio thinks a lot is tied in to the perimenopause due to an increase in symptoms. The scan has showed an issue with a facet joint and degeneration. Can the menopause cause major issues with joints or inflame the
