Pelvic pain/bladder

3 years ago I started feeling an uncomfortable pain in my bladder region. I wouldn't empty properly and they're be a burning before and after urination.Since then, I've had blood tests, prostate checks, urine tests and more recently an ultrasound scan. All have come back negative (and healthy).

In my mon's pubic area, there is a firmness down the middle, almost like a fatty lump (but doesn't show). I have told the Doctors and physio I believe I have a sports injury down there which may be pressing on my bladder. I still get the bladder problems every day., but they don't seem to want to know.

Has anyone else had anything similar ?

I'm 52 and active by going to the gym but I don't do any stomach work anymore.

I also have what's called split abs. (Petruding lump in stomach).

Ask for a CT scan. May be a kidney stone. They gradually get worse. I had problems over three years and because of covid disregarded. Kidney stones do not show up on Ultrasound until 5mm in size. Mine was 3mm and gave me stop & start flow and lots of dull aching pain etc.. burning after third wee in a morning? Pain that woke me every morning . I passed mine naturally and I believe I must have had others but hadn’t realised. I was certainly given the wrong diagnosis of Diverticulitis because I have Diverticular disease. I think your bulge will be pressing on the bladder aggravating the symptoms by putting more pressure on the bladder but don’t think that is the cause. Definitely get CT scan 👍

This could be pudendal nerve injury, especially if you feel worse sitting. I have had this and without treatment it could get worse. My advice is to contact Dr Gareth Greenslade at the Bristol Pain clinic. Alternatively contact the London Pain Clinic, Both have years of experience in this area. I would also avoid heavy exercise until you get a diagnosis

Have they ruled out a bladder infection?

Could it be interstitial cystitis? Do you need a cystoscopy ?

I agree with VFR1200. If it’s pudendal neuralgia you need to be assessed soon. Keep us posted.

Are you sure the split abs isn’t your vagus nerve inflamed.?
