Groin strain...
I was so happy i finished the c25k in January but now i have an inner thigh injury after doing body pump then ran a park run the next day and could hardly walk after. Haven't done any exercise for 2 weeks. Has improved a bit but still hurts and walk with a limp. Went to doctors and they arranged a telephone

Ankle pain and knee pain
Started on 15mg of pred at end of March 2023, now on 7mg after tapering advice on this forum and doing OK. I swim twice a week and do either Pilates or yoga once a week. I also walk up to 2 miles on a couple of days a week, if I feel OK. I am managing the off days with resting or having what I call

IT’S (almost) FRIDAY SO IT MUST BE………POM POM TIME!
After what seems like endless rain and wind …and mud….I thought that this little fellow would brighten up the morning. He was a frequent visitor to our table in a nice cafe garden at our favourite holiday spot (I could tell you but ……) and obligingly he sat still long enough for me to nearly get him

PET scan results and thoughts please :-)
Hello everyone. I haven’t posted for a while and I hope you are all keeping well. I recently had a PET scan which showed absolutely no inflammation in my body and no tumours. The scan was done because I cannot seem to get below 5mg of Prednisolone without flaring and the rheumatologist felt there

What a difference
Been a good day for him so far. He said he had a rough night coughing. He was in his chair dressed when I got there. Physio told him off and said you don't need the hoist now, use the pulley to get up and in the chair.Physio and speech therapist came to put tiny camera up his nose to look down his throat

Rib pain
Hi, Does anyone have rib pain when waking up, I have chronic pain and Trapezium knots in my back , shoulders and neck and I'm trying to figure out is this IBS related or pain related. As the Doctors don't seem to care, on a waiting list for physio. My IBS is quite calm , still have to go 2-3 times

Sorry after my last detailed post I forgot to ask. Has anybody had an induced sputum? I have bronchiastasis and can’t get sputum up no matter what they do or give me I’m on the medication and respiratory physio tried in hospital so that’s what’s planned next.

Post total knee replacement
Anyone who has had a total knee replacement had more pain in the hip area than the knee. Having a job to keep my knee straight at night as keep waking up every hour with tremendous pain in the hip and end up getting up and having a walk round. It's inhibiting my physio as well. It didn't help that ended

Is this a flare?
Good morning, I’m 68 and diagnosed with PMR last October, 2023. I started at 20mg. No problem with tapering until February 29, 2 weeks after I started 7.5 mg. My neck (turning both ways and especially looking down) started getting sore and stiff on both sides. Tried acetaminophen and physical therapy

Is a massage ok with PMR etc?
I have PMR (on 5mg currently) and also have pain on walking caused by spinal stenosis/ degeneration of lumbar spine and left hip etc. I also had a steroid injection a while back for bursitis in my right hip. My daughter would like to give me a massage as a Mothers’s Day gift and I’d love to have one

Swap from 4mg pred
dear all I have been prescribed 10 mg hydrocortisone swapping from 4mg pred as from yesterday. things are a bit of a struggle anyway as I’m 3weeks post total reverse shoulder replacement - in a sling for another 3 weeks when more intensive physio will start. I experienced a bit of a crisis a week

Suspected Pernicious Anemia - what next?
Hello, I am very glad to have found this forum as I have been researching B12D and PA a lot recently. I became familiar with the society’s website and found it so helpful. I am 29F in the US and I suspect I have Pernicious Anemia. This is what I know so far (sorry in advance if this post rambles on)

My fiancé suffered a major stroke two weeks ago a day after being diagnosed with atrial fibrillation which caused two blood clots. He was in Addenbrooke’s for six days where the doctor told me if he survived this as it’s likely he could have another stroke that he would end up in a care home. I’m absolutely

Achilles tendonitis and damage due to antibiotic side effect - odd icy sensation?
I have had RA for nearly 10 years, currently on Benepali and Metotrexate injections. Rheumatoid factor 74 and Anti-cpp 600 in 2014 and generally do not score above normal for blood CRP tests (interesting anomaly) even when ultrasound in clinic reviews shows inflammation. As well as small joint hand
