Low Iron - Are my symptoms normal?
From the end of November last year, until the first week of January this year I was experiencing a weird feeling of dizziness, and generally feeling ‘out of it’. I went to my doctor, and they diagnosed an inner ear infection as they weren’t 100% sure, which required no treatment. My symptoms disappeared

experiences of Steroid injections and Turmeric
Has anyone had any experience of a steroid injection? I have been suffering from sciatica for 6 weeks ( missed the vasculitis AGM because of it! ) . After a very difficult first few weeks, I was making good progress, although still not pain free and having the usual symptoms of nerve irritation, tingling

Hello - I've been here before asking for advice and hopefully someone can help. I'm 44 (as of last week) and have Hashimotos disease. I'm currently on 50mcg Levothyroxine and have been on this starter dose since January. My GP won't increase it despite my showing symptoms of being undermedicated. I

Alternative for migraleve?
Hi, can anyone recommend a good otc product for migraine that works. I have had migraines for many years and have always relied on migraleve which worked well enough for me so that I often didn’t even need the follow up yellow tablet. However it has been unavailable for months now and the pharmacies

I am on aspirin and Anagrelide, does anyone know if it would be ok to use an ibuprofen/anti-inflammatory patch on my very painful arthritic knees? I'm going to clinic on Wednesday but thought I might get a bit of relief with one before then. I do on rare occasions take a couple of ibuprofen, I've been

Should I increase thyroxine before period due?
Hi, Quick question for our lady members. My periods aren’t particularly heavy but over the last few months they’ve knocked me for 6. I’m exhausted, weak and barely functioning. Feel fine for the other 3 weeks. I have a stressful job with long hours and struggle to get enough sleep as I’m up at 5.30am

Lap came back normal, what now?
Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light on this. I've had problems with my period for years and years now (I'm 26) and have tried various treatments. The pill/mini pill gave me terrible side effects, the mirena coil didn't work, various painkillers including Diclofenac, Mefenamic acid, Naproxen
