Anaemia confusion
Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me to understand this whole anaemia business because I am deeply confused! I had the FBC done a few months ago, and the GP called me and told me that I was not anaemic but my red blood cells were slightly enlarged so they were going to test B12 and folate. Subsequently

They did not pay attention to my symptoms but the GP I have seen today

Ibuprofen!
My doctor prescribed me ibuprofen for back pain along with co codamol. When the doc asked me if I had asthma I replied no but I have copd. The doctor said I would be ok to take the ibuprofen. After 3 days I am feeling breathless and wheezing but it is helping with the pain. I will go back to the docs

Folate bloods
I had a recent blood test which showed my folate level to be 9.1. I didnt get any ranges from the surgery but when I phoned them yesterday they said that my level needed to be above 3.8. My friend who is a nurse in the same area where I live gave me a range of 4.5-45.3 nm0l/l. I am already anaemic

Will recent B12 shots Affect Iron Panel results?
Hi all, I want to check my iron levels to see if I should supplement iron (I'm pretty sure I do as Hb is low). My question is, will my having had recent b12 loading shots affect my iron tests? Tests to run:- Serum Ferritin Serum Iron + Total Iron Binding Capacity Tranferrin Iron Saturation Percentage

Folate Blood result
I have a folate result of 9.1. The printout that the receptionist gave me did not have the ranges on them and when I asked for them, the receptionist did not know. I just wanted to know if I need to be prescribed folic acid. I am anaemic and am currently on iron (ferrous sulphate 200mg 2 x daily)

My first Migraine, a question
Hello all, I have head aches like everybody has head aches, you take a couple of paracetamol or drink some water and that pretty much sorts it out. Early Saturday afternoon I felt a head ache coming on, I took some paracetamols and had a drink of water, then on Sunday I couldn't move my head without
