OPTIMAL TEST LEVELS ?
Can someone please briefly address my recent test levels. Please be aware I am decidedly unscientifically minded and find it hard to follow the science…and certainly to retain it ! So ..please give me numbers… I can’t quite get the whole iron picture ..serum iron, transferrin and serum ferritin… But

Does anyone take supplements as well as B12 injections ?
Hi Everyone My doctors have started me on B12 injections and I’ve had 2 loading doses out of the 6 so far . I’m wondering if people still take their B complex supplements on top of the injections so you get all the B vits still ? And if so what strength? I’m feeling very tired today after my second

New and still learning how to deal with PMR
Hi, I was diagnosed just over a year ago with PMR. Just recently I have had two bad flares and in-between these I tested positive for Covid. The first recent flare was end of March, almost coinciding with my year anniversary of being diagnosed with PMR and suspected GCA due to symptoms I experienced

Iron Bisglycinate versus Liquid Ferrous Sulfate
Hello oh wise ones. I’m constantly here lurking in the back and rereading posts to take info back to my doc. My doc has very little knowledge of RLS but she is very open to all your information so I’m eternally grateful. Been trying to up my ferritin for the last year. Started at 8 and now a year later

What's the relevance of low mean cell haemoglobin, but normal haemoglobin concentrate levels?
I'm confused about these results! Please can anyone help? What does mean cell haemoglobin mean? I I thought it meant I was anaemic, but my haemoglobin concentrate is normal. My ferritin is too low again I know. I understand my thyroid levels. I'd reduced T3 from 30 to 25mcg for 6 weeks hoping my TSH

Feeling forced to take pain medication
For nearly 15 years I have refused to take any pain relief except from paracetamol this was mainly due to being a single parent with 4 very young boys and didn’t want to not be in control of myself or become dependent on any form of pain relief. 2 years ago I was in a really bad way regarding the amount

Blood results back. Ferritin low but haemoglobin normal. TSH slightly raised.
Hi, thank you for all your previous help when I first posted about how tired I was constantly. I was advised to repost when I got my blood results back from the doc. They didn’t test all my vitamins but these are, I think, the most relevant ones from my results. TSH 2.43 (0.3-4.50) I have an endo

Fibromyalgia and Lisfranc
Hi , I’m looking help regarding medication or health alternatives to manage pain. Here’s a bit of background after years of going to doctor I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in March 2020. In one way it was a relief because I honestly though I was going round the bend and I think my family though

Potassium’s use and Trigeminal Neuralgia Events
Hello this is my first time posting so be kind. I have MS and have been prescribed Klor-Con M20 potassium as a result of diarrhea. Now I am having Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN) events sometimes 3-times per day and as you know if you have had them they hurt. I read somewhere that a person said to avoid bananas
