I eat mainly Paleo because of hashi - anyone know how I can reduce without using grain? My omega 6 and EPA omega 3 ratio was also raised at 5.oo

Healthy Diet Reduces Depression Risk
Analysis of 15,000 patient records from a Spanish cohort study started in 1999, has found diet may provide a protective role against depression. Given the stresses of living with an incurable illness like CLL probably aren't helping in that regard, this research might encourage us to rethink our diet

New on Warfarin today
Hi, started on Warfarin today in preparation for ablation in November. Bit apprehensive as I also take a multivitamin with vitamin K1 in it, Glucosamine and Omega 3 supplements. There can be a conflict between all these with Warfarin I read. I hope I am right in that as I have been 'on' these supplements

Imuran related pain
Has anyone experienced pain just under ribs or achy hips, back, and legs while on Imuran. I recently upped dose from 50mg to 100 and have been getting weird pains like never before. I went off Imuran for a week and pain in my legs went away. Then back on again and now rib pain is unbearable after

The Anti-Inflammatory Diet
Check out this new article from Alexandra Rothwell, a registered dietitian. Inflammation is a popular “buzz word” in the world of nutrition and cancer. Foods and nutrients are touted for their “anti-inflammatory” properties, and we happily associate this with good health - as we should. However,

For what it's worth...
This isn't going to cure anything, but may help along the way: Since re-commencing Boots' highest dosage Omega 3 Fish Oil 1300mgs, my heart has been calmer with reduced symptoms. I always seem to do well on it in the past, but broke off to try krill and CQ10, which I can't afford to keep up.

Omega 3
Hi Just wondering if anyone here would know if Omega 3 has any bad effect on PBC/ liver? After a heart attack sep 2014 I was prescribed Atorvastatin amongst others. Also prescribed Destolit when found to have PBC but had to stop that after a severe allergic reaction. I've now had to stop Atorvastatin

Fish oil can cure neurological complications of diabetes.
In a paper published in the journal of neurophysiology (ANI 15/06 /15), it is claimed that nerve damage due to diabetes can be cured. Researchers say that fish oil rich in omega 3 can reverse the nerve damage,. This omega 3 is very safe with little side effect, easy to take and cost effective in comparison

Time for action.
Thanks for all your replies to my questions over the past week. I started looking at this forum when I was diagnosed with persistent AF last year. Rather naively though, I thought it was a short term ailment which would soon be sorted so I didn't need any extra support. I felt great on Amiodorone too
