Is Gluten Sensitivity causing your Fibro?
Hi, I wondered if anyone has ever suspected NCGS (Non-Coeliac Gluten Sensitivity) as the cause, or as A cause, of their Fibro. Mine has flared up recently, after I've been on a much healthier diet than I have in years, and I'm baffled by this. Why would I get sorer and tireder while IMPROVING my diet

Cravings etc
I notice a few of you doing Lytham's Challenge are reporting "carb cravings" and/or some trepidation about keeping this going. I can completely understand this. Once you get into LCHF, you realise that the British food landscape is awash with carbs (and low-fat food). Supermarkets, restaurants, everywhere

Low carb quiche & salad
Here is a photo of tonight’s tea: The quiche is low carb/ healthy fats as the base is made from almond flour. Mix one large egg with two cups of almond flour (or ground almonds) and a pinch of salt. Roll it out and bake blind for 15-20mins (I put ceramic cooking beans on it to stop it bubbling up).

2 months pregnant - can bloating cause difficulty / straining to pee?
Hi all! I'm 2 months pregnant and since a good 3 weeks I've have this need to strain for a wee most of the times I go. Basically I have to really force and strain for anything to come out and it takes ages and I am worried I'll damage my pelvic floor if I keep at it. There is no pain whatsoever, colour

TAT’s chicken tikka
My first attempt at making TAT’s LCHF chicken tikka, served with salad leaves and raita. My husband liked it so much he’s asked for it again tomorrow. Result! For the first time he’s had my food without additional carbs for him. Baby steps 😉

Low ferritin low hemoglobin celiac three years ?
I have posted before but at my wits end. I was diagnosed celiac three years ago due to very low ferritin and hemoglobin. I began gluten free diet and iron supplements and my levels were back to normal. Dr took me off iron and I continued gluten free. Past labs have shown a steady decline in my hemoglobin

Veggie mince with cauliflower rice
Tonight’s tea: Quorn mince with veg (onions, garlic, courgette, peppers, tinned tomatoes) plus tomato purée, pesto, chipotle paste. Cauliflower rice and home-made Greek yogurt accompanied it. Delicious, filling and pretty low carb, healthy fats 🍂

Antibody advice
Hi, I was diagnosed with a multi nodular goitre about 18months ago - 3 nodules between 2.5 and 3.5 cm - FNA was benign. I had many Hypo symptoms however bloods were always normal. I only had TSH, T4 and Vit D completed - VIT D low T4 was 29% through range in October 2019 and 32% through range February

Time Restricted eating, running and weight loss
I need to shift a few pounds, well more than a few, and am trying to do the time restricted eating, low carb diet. Only been doing for a couple of weeks but playing havoc with my running. Just too tired but still go three or four times a week but now so slow I wonder if it is worth it. Any suggestions

Back again for help with recent blood results. Am i still a poor converter?
I am still a little confused with my most recent results , a recap: My GP instructed me to reduce my Levo from 100mcg to 75mcg, back in March when he saw that my TSH was 0.13 (0.27-4.2) I didn't want to , but was too lethargic to disagree with him. And he is only concerned about TSH, not how

"Water weight"
Hope you guys following Lytham's Challenge are all still full of beans (in moderation, of course :) ). I noticed that some of you who started early, and are now approaching week 3, are enthused by some quite impressive initial weight loss. While it's great to see that downwards movement on the scales

Hi all - need to try something else and am hoping I find something that I can finally stick with. Been to WW and Slimming World in the past but I always end up stopping after a few months and putting more weight back on. Am 55 this week and need some to get myself healthy! I’ve probably had weight issues

First week of LCHF completed
As I have written before, I couldn’t imagine a meal without carbs. We always had bread /pasta/rice or potatoes with every meal. A month ago I started the 12 week NHS diet and for first few weeks did really well and then it slowed to 1lb loss which demoralised me. Last Monday I accepted Lytham’s challenge

new link for LCHF guide
A few people had trouble with the filebin repository (and it's probably expired now). I've put another copy on Dropbox. Download from: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fdd3njer5jovvw2/slim_book%20v3.pdf?dl=1 or view online: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fdd3njer5jovvw2/slim_book%20v3.pdf?dl=0

NASH Fibrosis Stage 3
I had my Liver biopsy 2 weeks ago and my Liver # is a 2, they say it has to be at least a 4 in order that I would qualify for their clinical trials at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana So this is good thing because some of my testing showed I had cirrhosis. So I have been told to stay on my
