Diagnosis by Exclusion?

I have Diverticular, diagnosed by colonoscopy, but also extreme bowel habits. Tried Laxido, Movicol, Loperamide etc etc but as they don't work immediately, it's hard to self medicate, Virtually housebound, look like I'm 9 months pregnant and often in pain. Is this IBS as other things have been ruled out? Current medication is Fybagel which means I can't go more than a few yards from a toilet - not good as I should be travelling to a family wedding on Friday. Don't even know what I'm dealing with. Also have Type 2 Diabetes so unsure about diet. Currently doing LCHF which seems to be making things worse!

Any help or advice appreciated please.
