Pain Medication after Laparoscopy
Hi all, Can anyone offer advice on which medication they used after surgery for pain management? Due to my other medical issues I canโt take any NSIADS including: ibuprofen, naproxen, diclofenac, celecoxib, mefenamic acid, etoricoxib & indomethacin. I normally take just cocodamol and rest when

70 week wait for Laparoscopy
I just need to talk to someone. The wait for my Lap is 70 weeks, almost 18 months to get a diagnosis. Then I'll be back on the waiting list for treatment. I just feel numb ๐ข๐ฅน Thankfully I'm not in pain at the moment but having lots of other symptoms.

Feeling so deflated
Sorry to complain but am just feeling so lost with all this TTC stuff. Been trying now for 5 years and just recovering from my 2nd missed miscarriage (just a sac, no yolk sac or embryo seen). My previous missed miscarriage was the same, didn't get past 5/6 weeks with nothing in the sac. I've also had

Waiting for laparascopic Hysterectomy but struggling with womb and bowel symptoms
Hello everyone, I hopefully have a date next month for a laparoscopic Hysterectomy - waiting for confirmation in writing. Have been waiting for nearly 2 years on NHS. I am age 40, living in Scotland. I had none of these Gynae issues until about 3 years ago. Since then, I have had heavy bleeding, cramps

Inverted Appendix and Stage 4 Endo
Hi all, I hoping someone has been through similar so I can connect with someone who has similar feelings. I've just been diagnosed with stage 4 endo. My womb, ovaries, tubes and appendix have all stuck to my bowels. I am in terrible pain when passing my bowels on a daily basis so I had a colonscopy

I ran a real trail run!
Yesterday I set off for an 8k lap around Minsmere on the Suffolk coast. I knew it would be damp underfoot, I had brought a complete change of clothing and I was wearing my trail shoes. Not far in I tripped and banged my knee, then paddled safely through three stretches of calf-deep water. On the fourth

Bowel Prep/Pre Op
Hope everyone is doing ok. Grateful for the advice I've received so far on here thank you all. I have my first lap in 3 weeks time. Excision, removal of cysts, bowel shave as colon stuck to uterus. Sounds wonderful ๐ my pre op appointment is only 3 days before surgery is this normal? Should I not be

Hormone imbalance
hey, Iโve been suffering with endo for years and have had a few laparoscopies which helped and had a coil inserted which helped but I had removed 2.5 years afterwards due to suspected weight gain! A year on from having coil removed and endo has reared its ugly head and I have been in pain, had periods

Mud-free 10k! ๐
So, another 10k run done - this time on my local roads, so a lot less muddy than my last couple of runs (although I missed it a bit if the truth be told!) I basically ran my most frequently run 5K lap twice, which is good route as it contains a few inclines/ undulations to work the legs too.๐๐ฌ Not

Pain and struggling with weight loss
I had my
laparoscopy
2 months ago and have had 3 periods since and they have been so painful and causing constipation one minute and then diarrhoea the next! My fatigue has improved slightly (I have upped my vitamin D) and trying to eat better. I am also really struggling with my weight.

NRC 10k plan: final run of week 3 (and Parkrun)
What a lot of rain we've had these last few days! Enough to keep me inside, drinking coffee in my PJs ( CBDB ;) ) . This morning was different. I was awake before 8 (early for me), the sun was shining, it was calm. The Plan said I needed to do a 6k to finish this third week off, I haven't done

Right shoulder pain made worse by mirena
I wondered if anyone else had experienced referred right shoulder pain as a result of endometriosis? They think it is growing on my diaphragm as the pain comes and goes with my cycle. I went back on the pop to control it but the Dr suggested mirena coil instead. The lower dose of hormone is not controlling

Post lap bloating.
I had my
laparoscopy
4 days ago, I'm quite swollen still, how long does it take for the bloating to subside?. I also had endometrial ablation and a mirena fitted, could it be the hormones too?. Also I read about mirena perforation, and now I'm paranoid that's going to happen to me ๐๐ฌ.

Wait for lap after pre -op?
I've been waiting for over 12 months for my lap at Birmingham women's hospital and had my pre op at the end of November. I was told I would get a phone call with a date shortly as was top of the list but next I heard was an MRI appt at the end of December. I chased for the results as thought that was

Quick pre-MRI constipation question!!!
OK so finally getting an MRI this week to check for adeno/endo, should get a date for my lap after ๐ค, my question is about preparing for the MRI...I take codeine for pelvic pain which makes me constipated, they say don't eat for 4 hours before mri and they may need to give you meds to still the bowel

Horrendous but hilarious 5 mile first ever (and last) XC run
I decided to try a XC run before the end of the season, bought a pair of spikes and met up with our running club. I didnโt even know what the distance was until I got there ๐ but was told 2 laps of a 5 mile route through fields, woodland and a swamp (yes an actual swamp). I found even the first 5
