At a loss 😢
During the
laparoscopy
my surgeon took biopsies and also looked at uterus, kidneys, gall bladder and liver , thankfully there was no endometriosis present there. He said he would discuss findings with me at follow up. He was really caring and understanding.

Pain after Coil
Hi everyone, I recently ( one week ago) had
laparoscopy
that removed a cyst and treated some areas of endometriosis and also they inserted the Mirena Coil. I'm recovering very well and feel great apart from a pain high in my vagina, what feels like my cervix.

Can you have a delayed allergic reaction to iodine?
I had my
laparoscopy
on Thursday (found and treated stage 2 along with cervical ectropion - the relief is sky high!) but I've developed a strange rash on my tummy, it's small bumps raised, quite red. Seems like it could be the iodine as that's where it's worse.

Do I need to take hormones to suppress endo? What are you experiences of different hormones?
Hi, I just had my gynae appointment following lap and confirming endo. They said that because I want to have children (but not currently in a situation to) I am better to take hormones now than leave it and to have worse issues in five years time. I can’t have combined pill due to risk of stroke and

Cycle after laparoscopy
Hi, I just wondered how long it takes for your monthly cycle to go back to normal after a
laparoscopy
for endometriosis . After surgery my first period was 44 days and my 3 periods since have been either 18 or 19 days, instead of my usual 26 days. Has anyone had their cycle go out of sync?

No endo found - feel so frustrated
Yesterday was my diagnostic
laparoscopy
after 10 years in pain and bleeding, being admitted to hospital multiple times for it and spending a year treating me for endometriosis as I waited for the lap.

I then saw a Urologist and Gynaecologist, I had a joint

Laparoscopy shoulder pain
I had my
laparoscopy
on Friday and the shoulder pain is the worst bit! I’m still suffering with it now, almost 5 days on. The only thing that’s given me any form of relief is hot water bottles, but even then the pain doesn’t completely go away. I’ve found it gets worse after eating.

Post-laparoscopy Sleeping
I’m having my
laparoscopy
in a few weeks time and trying to get as prepared as possible! 🙈 I was just wondering about sleeping positions after surgery and if it’s worth getting a post-surgery/ pregnancy type pillow? Or is it just a case of simply sleeping on your back and that’s fine.

Endo specialists in the North West
I am currently based in Bolton and last year was diagnosed with endometriosis via
laparoscopy
but my gynae was only general and I didn't feel understood at all. I have just been to see another gynae at the Royal Bolton Hospital and they were even more hopeless.

Very irregular/skipped periods after recent laparoscopy?
I was recently diagnosed with endometriosis following a
laparoscopy
on 29 January. My first period afterwards was 14 February and that was on time, albeit I bled longer than usual.
