period after surgery?

hi all, how long after surgery do periods normally return? Is there any guidance? Had laparoscopy for stage 4 endometriosis with lots of bowel / urology involvement etc and just wondering when things might get back to normal. Thanks in advance x

I had surgery 19 months ago and mine still haven’t returned. Not much help sorry, but when I’ve spoken to Drs/ specialists about it, some have said it’s normal and others have questioned why when I’m not on any kind of birth control x

thank you! That does seem very strange! Fertility is a priority for me as I’m 39 so was hoping things returned quickly but seems that mightn’t be the case. I’m also having insane hot flushes since the surgery and it’s worrying me too, doesn’t seem a good sign x
