Potential tubal issues - is laparoscopy worth it?

Another thing I should note is that if I want to get IVF through NHS it's likely that I need to have this laparoscopy to get a diagnosis (or not). The problem with this is that the wait time for a laparoscopy is apparently 6-9 months.

laparoscopy wait times ?

Hi guys, I’m waiting for laparoscopy at the CEMIG gynae centre at Ashford, P3 wait list. I’ve been given an appointment for pre-op assessment in a month but still no surgical date. Just wondering how long after pre-op people had surgery? Thanks!!

Drinking before laparoscopy

Hi everyone, just wondered what you were advised (if at all) prior to your surgery regarding alcohol consumption? I have my surgery on 30th May but I’m at an outdoor concert on Saturday 27th, and was hoping to have a few drinks. I don’t want to go wild as I don’t want a hangover right before an op and

First laparoscopy

Hello, I have a laparoscopy booked for 21st march after 5 years of awful periods and finally going private and I am so scared, both of the procedure (I've never even had a general anesthetic before) and if they DON'T find anything that I'll feel like i've been making up how bad the pain is and overreacting

laparoscopy cost

hi everyone, I am considering going private, tired of the long wait times for the NHS. Please , Anyone have a rough estimate of how much private consultation & procedure costs? Thanks

Bruising after laparoscopy

Hi, I’m 3 days post op, obviously some bruising after laparoscopy would be normal, but I seem to have excessive bruising in the centre of my stomach, also still very bloated. I had a laparoscopy 12 years ago and 2 c-sections since then and not had bruising like this.

After diagnostic laparoscopy

Hi, I had my laparoscopy 5 weeks ago and have been diagnosed with endo (12 years in the making!!). They inserted a coil at the same time as this. Since then my symptoms and pain have become 10x worse. Has anyone had this? Not sure if it is my body getting used to the coil.

what makes a surgeon a endo specialist?

my laparoscopy surgeon is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist when I googled him it did say he’s surgical work involves endo at the end of the list. I’m scared that he don’t see my endo as I’ve read so many stories on here
