I have my laparoscopy on Tuesday, short notice cancellation, any tips and advice?

Finally suffered and jumped through enough hoops to be referred for a laparoscopy. Now just to wait 66-71 weeks for the privilege 🤦🏻‍♀️ Thank goodness for posts from like-minded people going through the same awfulness to keep me going ❤️

I'm reading that laparoscopy could reduce your egg count. Is this true? I'm having laparoscopy for endo next month while planning to do IVF as soon as possible (I'm 41). I'm also reading that you can't have IVF right after laparoscopy.

I had my Laparoscopy Surgery on the 26th October. The purpose of the surgery was to remove my left ovary and tube together with the large endometrioma. When I came round after the procedure I was told by the Consultant that he he could not remove any of it as it is all stuck to my uterus and bowel.

I am due to have a laparoscopy, unfortunately it won’t be a endo specialist. I have waited a long time, and in a lot of pain and fed up now. I have asked numerous times but i haven’t seen a endo specialist. My question is how successful has surgery been for you without a endo specialist?

I’m having a consultation on week 6 and know I should be focusing on recovering and wait for this, but just wondering if anyone has had similar on their and got a diagnosis after going elsewhere? And by what route of action?

Hey guys, hope everyone is managing to get through each day with as little pain as possible ♥️✨ I have been placed on waiting list for diagnostic laparoscopy and been told about six months maybe longer.

I have my diagnostic surgery on Friday and I’m wondering if I would be able to get my coil removed while I’m under I’ve forgot to ask during my pre assessment and now I’m stressing cause i literally can’t bare it in any longer it’s making the pain so much worse

Did anyone have a laparoscopy in PRUH before? How did it go? Would be great to hear your experiences. Many thanks! :)

My laparoscopy was around 3-4 months ago

I am going for my first laparoscopy in just less than 2 weeks and feel very unprepared!! They are removing endometriomas (excision) from both my ovaries and then are going to check my pelvis for any more endo and remove that too.

I’m just wondering if anyone has any shared experiences of how they felt a few months after their laparoscopy? Is this normal/ am I just being impatient? Thanks so much x

I had my Laparoscopy at the end of October and have now had my follow up appointment come through for the 10th March. I can't really remember what the Consultant said to me when I came out of theatre as I was still under the influence.

I’m currently deciding wether to have a laparoscopy or try the mirena coil to help with my endometriosis, any advice of which would have more effect/which to try first?

The promised laparoscopy. Two ovaries were found fixed to the ligaments /back of uterus. They managed to unfix them both but couldn’t continue with the operation due to the extend of the damage. I’m now being told I have to await another MRI to show the extend of the damage to major organs.

Does anyone have any tips for dealing with imposter syndrome about Endo or what I should take with me and expect from my laparoscopy??? Anything is appreciated xx

I’m booked in for my op and I’m so scared of the answers and my future with it. I’ve been waiting for this for so long and I’m at the age where I want kids. I’m so scared to hear if I can’t have kids and it’s mentally taking a huge toll on my life. All my friends are at this stage and living the life

Hello, I'm having a diagnostic laparoscopy for endo next month, and I would like to ask how long is the recovery time after the operation. I'm reading in some posts here, that some people get 5 or 6 weeks off work post-operation. Is this for the diagnostic procedure as well? Many thanks

My final question is those who have been Endo Warriors longer than me, is having another Laparoscopy in the future something that happens even though they removed the endometriosis, does it come back after x amount of time?

hi everyone, i finally have a date in September for my first laparoscopy and im a little bit in the dark. Does anyone have any general advice? Are you able to wear underwear during the surgery, like do they go near your vagina?
