Laparoscopy

Finally suffered and jumped through enough hoops to be referred for a laparoscopy. Now just to wait 66-71 weeks for the privilege 🤦🏻‍♀️ Thank goodness for posts from like-minded people going through the same awfulness to keep me going ❤️

I had my Laparoscopy Surgery on the 26th October. The purpose of the surgery was to remove my left ovary and tube together with the large endometrioma. When I came round after the procedure I was told by the Consultant that he he could not remove any of it as it is all stuck to my uterus and bowel.

I am due to have a laparoscopy, unfortunately it won’t be a endo specialist. I have waited a long time, and in a lot of pain and fed up now. I have asked numerous times but i haven’t seen a endo specialist. My question is how successful has surgery been for you without a endo specialist?

I have my diagnostic surgery on Friday and I’m wondering if I would be able to get my coil removed while I’m under I’ve forgot to ask during my pre assessment and now I’m stressing cause i literally can’t bare it in any longer it’s making the pain so much worse

My laparoscopy was around 3-4 months ago

The promised laparoscopy. Two ovaries were found fixed to the ligaments /back of uterus. They managed to unfix them both but couldn’t continue with the operation due to the extend of the damage. I’m now being told I have to await another MRI to show the extend of the damage to major organs.

hi everyone, i finally have a date in September for my first laparoscopy and im a little bit in the dark. Does anyone have any general advice? Are you able to wear underwear during the surgery, like do they go near your vagina?

I’m just wondering if anyone has any shared experiences of how they felt a few months after their laparoscopy? Is this normal/ am I just being impatient? Thanks so much x

I had my Laparoscopy at the end of October and have now had my follow up appointment come through for the 10th March. I can't really remember what the Consultant said to me when I came out of theatre as I was still under the influence.

Does anyone have any tips for dealing with imposter syndrome about Endo or what I should take with me and expect from my laparoscopy??? Anything is appreciated xx

On Friday 13th (now considered the luckiest day in my life) I went for my laparoscopy and they found A LOT (surgeon’s words) of endometriosis which they managed to get out.

I’m booked in for my op and I’m so scared of the answers and my future with it. I’ve been waiting for this for so long and I’m at the age where I want kids. I’m so scared to hear if I can’t have kids and it’s mentally taking a huge toll on my life. All my friends are at this stage and living the life

My final question is those who have been Endo Warriors longer than me, is having another Laparoscopy in the future something that happens even though they removed the endometriosis, does it come back after x amount of time?

I have diagnosed endometriosis, it was found on my ovaries during a laparoscopy. I am on a waiting list for a second laparoscopy. But my concern is they will not look if endometriosis has grown elsewhere.

Hi all , I’m just wondering if anyone in the uk has recently paid private for a laparoscopy ? If so , how much did it cost and how long did you have to wait for a surgery date ? Thanks Tina

I’m struggling to make a decision between getting the Mirena or doing the laparoscopy. I have struggled for very long with pain and was never diagnosed. It has now severely impacted my digestive tract. Will just doing Mirena improve or maintain symptoms.

Im 4 weeks post endometriosis laparoscopy today. They found deep lesions in my pouch of Douglas, on a nerve and on the uterosacral ligament. Im on a patient lead follow up for 6 months but my question really is at what point do i reach out to them?

Laparoscopy carried out and I had adhesions unstuck, biopsies taken but due to what he’s found I now have to be referred to an endo specialist, funny how the other gynae told me the lap would be a waste of time!
