Can anyone offer advice on which medication they used after surgery for pain management?
Due to my other medical issues I can’t take any NSIADS including: ibuprofen, naproxen, diclofenac, celecoxib, mefenamic acid, etoricoxib & indomethacin.
I normally take just cocodamol and rest when having bad flare ups. Along with expensive medical patches to sooth the areas.
Just want to be prepared so can ask GP to help before hand as have surgery in 2 days.
Thank you!

My hospital routinely uses IV paracetamol after ops and to be honest I found that sufficient until they removed the tube stitches so was offered oral morphine, when home I kept up with paracetamol and bed rest.
Can second the paracetamol, I use the effervescent ones, do the job a bit quicker. I do have dihydrocodeine on hand for another condition but sufficed without it.Good luck with your op 🙏🏻
I had co codomol and tramadol as I couldn’t take any of that I was on mefenemic and transenemic for 6 yrs and they put me on omeprazole to help my stomach but actually turned out 2 yrs after my diagnosis I ended up with permanent heartburn for over 6 months had the camera down and turned out I had small polyps from taking omeprazole so I weaned myself off and now I just take codeine 30 mg 2 tablets but that doesn’t touch the sides so I’m thinking of going back to my drs x
may I ask what they did/found in op? I’m 6 weeks post op and still in pain. Appendectomy, stage 3, cyst removal, severe endo in POD, bladder. Taking tramadol and Tylenol and Naproxen.
