Quick background; I'm 42, diagnosed 8 years ago, endo found with a laparoscopy. Bladder and uterus stuck together with adhesions, overy stuck to appendix also endo in p.o.d. Surgeon told me this couldn't be removed due to possible bladder damage. Pregnancy achieved with IVF.

I had dignostic lap in November which showed endo nodule on the uterosacral ligament and superficial in pouch of dogulas. I finally had a diagnostic laparoscopy and apparently no endometriosis was found. They strongly suggested to have the Mirena coil fitted again.  Now, I had the laparoscopy on the 16/11, I’ve been spotting since the 26th and bleeding since the 29th. 

After 9 years between appointments etc I have had my laparoscopy Thursday and now have an endo diagnosis. I thought I was pretty well prepared for the potential outcome/findings however feeling so overwhelmed with where I am at now. Has anyone else had a gynae diagnose but not fully treat?

Will they be able to confirm or rule out Crohn's during the laparoscopy? Or won't it show from the outside of the intestines? I'm sort of "hoping" that they'll find Endo in the same place as the inflammation, that way this whole Crohn's thing isn't actually a thing!

I got my letter back from the gynaecologist after my lap. It says this “There was a small peritoneal fold in the Pouch of Douglas with the slightest of hemosiderin staining”. Does anyone know what this means, I don’t understand I have googled it but still do not get it. Please if u can help reply. Thank

The consultant has said they don't need to do a laparoscopy to confirm... To me this seems highly unusual as all my friends have had to have a laparoscopy to be diagnosed. Has anyone been diagnosed by ultrasound alone?
