I had an appointment with a specialist recently and I expressed the desire to have diagnostic laparoscopy for endometriosis. The specialist recommended that I try taking hormones in the meantime to see if that helps with pain management. He said if hormones work then I can cancel the laproscopy.

Hi, I had laparoscopy surgery earlier this week. I am terrified to be put asleep and all invasiveness of surgery. It was in all honesty fine, I just kept a clear mind.

Had a colonoscopy-all clear, then had laparoscopy which showed endo in my pouch of Douglas. Was told I could have surgery but I declined for now as pain not horrendous.

Hi, I am having my laparoscopy on Tuesday and was wondering if anyone knew about being able to have sex before surgery? Is there a certain amount of time before that I should stop? Any answers for this would be amazing.

Anyone have experience laparoscopy to remove mass on one ovary, removal of one ovary and Fallopian tube. Would like to know if you had this surgery and how you are now and if there are side effects, what to watch out for and if you had good recovery or very slow recovery or are still suffering.

I had a laparoscopy on 15th Jan to remove extensive grade 3 endometriosis which was on my womb, bladder, bowels, ovaries and ligaments.

He examined me and I was in pain afterwards, he could see how much pain I was in after the examination and referred me to have another scan and put me on a waiting list to have a laparoscopy for an official diagnosis.

So I had my laparoscopy last May, confirmed endo, coil fitted. Pain returned after a few months. In November I was put on Zoladex injections with Tibilone HRT tablets, this helped the pain a lot and reduced it to a few times within the 3 month period of being on it.

Also should I be having an MRI prior to a hysterectomy to confirm adenomyosis - as so far only had a laparoscopy & ultrasound that “suggest” that’s what it is… any help/advise welcome & thank you for taking the time to read xxx

On 2016 they I had a laparoscopy and after 6 months I started to have the symptoms back, so in 2017 I had a second laparoscopy (they found endometriosis on my pelvic area, colon and ovaries).

To be honest, I wasn’t sure that I had a hysteroscopy as part of laparoscopy until I checked my hospital records so I’d told the clinic that I’d just had a laparoscopy.

Hello, I had a laparoscopy just over 4 weeks ago & had endometriosis removed from both ovaries. Stopped bleeding about a week after surgery, but have started bleeding again like a light period even though I am on the pill. I have been exercising more like swimming so could this cause it?

I have a laparoscopy in three weeks time and wanted to know if anyone had any tips for the day and recovery afterwards as this will be my first one.

hi all, diagnosed with endo last November after a laparoscopy after about 14 years of symptoms and pain. Even though I’m glad to have the clarity about what the issue is as the uncertainty was awful, some days I just feel so sad and down that this is my future.

Would anyone mind sharing what happened at their pre op assessment for laparoscopy? What can I expect? And one more :), how long was recovery time for you after a laparoscopy? Thanks in advance for your replies and putting my mind at ease.

Two weeks after I was lucky to have an endo scan performed by one of the endo consultants and confirmed that I have a deep infiltrating endometriosis and was put on the waiting list for another laparoscopy.

has anyone been successful in getting a laparoscopy or cystectomy (cyst removal) in uk on private health insurance after already having had fertility treatment?

Have any of you been diagnosed without a laparoscopy? He said because I have finished my family we don’t necessarily need to do one yet can you only have an endometrioma with endometriosis and does this mean it’s stage IV? From what I’ve read it sounds like it thanks for your time

I was told I probably had Endometriosis back in December and had a Laparoscopy today where no Endo was found but biopsies of my uterus lining was taken and what they thought were uterine polyps were also biopsies.

I was given the option of laparoscopy or a wait and watch approach. OB/GYN said she thought it was a low chance for cancer and that waiting and watching would be ok because I really don't want to have surgery if I don't need it.
