Hi all. I joined the forum a few days ago and have only replied to a couple of posts but not introduced myself.
I just read the long post of advice (very helpful) from IannodaTruffe. I haven’t run for some years and had knee surgery in 2018 so I’m using the plan to get me out there. I gained a lot of weight while not running and am using MyFitnessPal to reverse that trend. Half a stone down since Boxing Day.
It’s so helpful to read how everyone feels daunted at first. And I confess I was so anxious about injuries (and had accidentally signed up to a spoof C25K) that I repeated W1 but now I’m feeling positive about getting out there. Today’s run felt good. Much slower than I used to run and I’m trying to unlearn my heel strike habits.
Look forward to continuing to see everyone’s progress.
