Once a year there is an Adrinal crisis, I end up in

decompensated liver
She had a stint in
intensive
care
and on a ward where we were told she had a decompensated liver. She was very lucky to recover from
intensive
care
. Mum is very secretive with any engagement with services since she was discharged. Recently I have found out that my mum is drinking again.

Different hospital
Still
intensive
care
, and back on ventilator as well as tracheotomy but they've already reduced some numbers in a couple of hours. Obviously moving him has left him absolutely shattered, so I came away just after 3.

citalopram sudden withdrawal
I was recently rushed into
Intensive
Care
for dangerously low sodium levels. Citalopram is one of the drugs causing this, along with omeprazole and ramipril. The hospital immediately stopped these 3 medications. I am now 3 weeks out of hospital and feel absolutely dreadful.

Devastated. Mom has begun hospice.
Hi all,I guess I'm just here for support and to get my story out. My mom was diagnosed with stage 3c ovarian around May 2022. She had symptoms for about 3 months before which her primary care doctor thought was a bacterial infection. My mom kept going back to her and saying there is no way that a

mCRPC end of ADT--staying the course.
My dad saw his oncologist yesterday. My sister and I were there; we both read “Being Mortal” and watched several videos on the subject. The MO brought in the PSA test and said it was time to start considering a treatment change and the next steps were chemo and there was also Pluvicto. What happened

Hello I’m Graham
After my family and/or myself were told on 4 occasions that I was going to die and I was on palliative care only, we wouldn’t accept their prognosis. We never gave up! I’m now 7 months post transplant and feeling great. I’ve joined this group to offer others, either waiting or post transplant any advice

My 80 year-old dad with MPCa, broke his leg and now seems to be giving up. Advice on best anti-anxiety meds desperately needed.
Dear PC family As you will see from my profile my dad in England has been on his prostate cancer journey for five years. He was doing well until March, still actively farming though fatigued, and was due to start Radium 223 in April. Sadly, he broke his leg on March 12 in a fall, was put in a full-leg

Dad diagnosed with GBM grade 4
Hi, my dad was diagnosed with a glioblastoma about 4 weeks ago. He has gone from being a fairly healthy 58 year old man who travels around the UK and holidays a few times a year abroad to a man who sits on the sofa refusing to go out or do anything. He has got a healthy appetite but is eating way too
