Undetectable PSA
Yesterday I received my 3rd Eligard (3 month) injection. I'm also on Zytiga and finished 44 IMRT 5 weeks ago. The cancer center is attached to a large hospital and they test the blood work in house. MO says everything looked great and that my PSA is now undetectable. The lab report says <0.0 ng/ml

IMRT sessions
Besides a full bladder and empty colon, what things can make radiation treatment more effective for short and long term. S.E. and outcomes?Have 4 down, 31 to go. (Had 30 days Casodex and on Lupron)

New standard on IMRT number of sessions?
My younger brother is currently undergoing IMRT sessions at 2Gy per session. Can anyone here show a clinical study report that shows the efficacy of less sessions? He was told that the new IMRT machine they are using only needed 28 sessions. I can understand it if it was hypofractionated, but he was

Optician Hell
This takes me back to waking up in
intensive

4 years ago and asking the nurse if there was a bubble machine in the room. I will never go to the opticians again.

How do you cope when your loved one is moved to palliative care with no further treatment?
So we had a follow-up meeting with the oncologist today following my husband's hospital stay last week where they found that the original tumors were growing back despite shrinking after chemo, he has new tumors on both lungs now and tumors on his liver. They are not continuing with treatment and are

Hello World from a newbie
I was diagnosed with MS at the end of 2020 but before I could get my head around that, the next thing I knew was waking up in
intensive
care
, after being found unconscious with hypothermia, dehydration, no other explanation and no memory of the 2 weeks before I was found.

Is "You are in hospital" really reassuring?
When I was in ICU I know that hospital staff repeatedly told me I was in
intensive
care
, but in my drug-induced dreams I was not ill, and being in hospital was all a mistake, so it just confirmed the dreams. And in my dreams, it wasn't a real hospital, and the nurses were not really nurses.

Hoping for the best
Last year I was diagnosed with advanced Stage 3 prostate cancer. The cancer had spread to the seminal vesicles but there was no further invasion that could be detected. Surgery failed because the prostate was to closely adhered to the rectum, so I underwent 45 sessions of IMRT. I am now on Abiraterone

Hi, I survived an SCA ans am looking to better support my heart health
I awoke in
intensive
care
among a jungle of wires and tubes - my watch alerted my husband of my fall and saved my life. I now have an ICD, a fifth heart medication and full-fledged heart failure.

UPDATE AFTER IMRT
Haven't posted in a while, but here's a quick update (My Bio has the full details from diagnosis to present.). After recovering from RALP in mid February I had my PSA checked in late May. PSA was 8.11 which led to my Urology Oncologist (UO) starting me on Casodex & Eligard, and ordering a GA-68 PSMA-PET

Lookin for next phase of my PC fight
Just a short background. Surgery in 2009, IMRT completed in 08/2021 when PSA was at 0.12. I had a negative PSMA pet scan when my PSA was 0.3. My latest PSA result on 11/4/20222 was 0.42 up from 0.3 6 months ago. Because of my age, my Oncologist wants to wait as long as possible before starting me
