I have non-allergic severe brittle asthma, and I'm willing to try anything to get my asthma under control, as I have had 4 admissions to
intensive
care
this year already with Asthma attacks. I am not allergic to dogs, I'm around dogs regularly as I have a couple of friends with dogs. Lisa

A newcomer’s experience of the challenges thyroid conditions can bring.

Hey everyone. I joined here a few weeks ago having been diagnosed with angina. I have obviously had cardiac problems building up over the years but I've been asymptomatic (as far as I am aware). Following a CT scan and an angiogram (both of which were great, the medics and staff all brilliant) I need

Artificial Urinary Sphincter (AUS) for older guy
My husband is 77 & totally incontinent following RALP (2014), IMRT & ADT (2016), several cystoscopies, & most recently following serious blockages Foley catheter for 2 months (increasing diameter size for dilation). The Foley was removed Oct 7. We were devastated that he's totally incontinent. He's doing

Our Saga so far...and an observation about quality of care
I've been lurking here for a couple of years but it's time for me to introduce myself and offer up our experiences so far. Please excuse the length of my story! My husband was diagnosed in the summer of 2016 at age 60 with advanced metastatic disease. It took over five months to find out what was going

Finally All Mets Zapped!
Whew, just completed 28 RT session. Finally got my mets zapped. Been wanting to do that as it seems to be a treatment consistent with men here having long remissions. 3 sessions each of SABR to 3rd rib, 6th rib and iliac bone mets. 28 sessions IMRT to para-aortic lymph node string. That’s all that

Things to Buy when Rehab is Over?
Happily, my father is out of
intensive
care
and progressing well enough to go to acute rehab. We feel very blessed and I’m very grateful to have found this site- it was extremely helpful when we were going through the worst of it.

Had Radiation and adjuvant ADT for 16 months now what?
I am 74 years old. I was diagnosed in Apri 2019 with PCa, Gleason 10, at a PSA of 250. A Ga68 PSMA Pet Scan showed there was no spread or metastasis visible. However, it was the considered opinion that there would be mets in the lymph nodes nearby which were too small to be visible on the PSMA Pet Scan

If you’ve not read my old post with details I’ll summarize. I’ve had melanoma for 9 years, stage 1 boosted to stage 3 practically immediately and was excised along with my right ear. Entered a trial treatment which has since been approved, Ipilimumab. For a few years after I continued my foolish behavior
