Self-hypnosis audios
I decided to try self-hypnosis audios to deal with my obsessive thoughts. I chose Hypnosis Downloads, and the speaker on the audio I bought is Roger Elliot. (He has a soothing voice and a beautiful Scots accent!) Has anybody ever tried self-hypnosis? If so, what was your experience like?

Hip Hip Hurrah!!!
Three years ago my then Consultant Rhumatologist told me I would benefit going to
Hydrotherapy
.Long story short yes it helped the aches and pains, but one particular exercise left me struggling to get into the car and and in awful pain in my hip for weeks.

Colon Hydroterapy
Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone with IBSc has tried the Colon
hydrotherapy
and would suggest it. It is more than a month that I am struggling with pain, constipation, nausea and I am getting really anxious. Trying the FODMAP and taking some laxatives.

Alternative therapy for IBS - tell me your story
Hello all, It's been a while since I posted last time. I am always trying to keep a positive attitude about this weird condition that IBS is. When I look back at my life, I am not really surprised that IBS has been diagnosed to me as I have been through a really anxious and stressful upbringing, lots

Recently diagnosed with anxiety, looking for information, support
Hi all recently prescribed Fluoxetine 20mg towards the end of June but have to admit haven't taken it yet, just about managing to cope, some days I'm really quite good then others are almost intolerable when the fear kicks in, particularly my underlying fear of dying. Instead I went straight into hypnotherapy

Four packs away from stopping
Hi. I have smoked for 29 years. I have four packs left and am then going to give up with patches and tabs. Main reasons for giving up are the cost and that I am in the early stages of COPD. I have tried pretty much everything before to give up, excluding Zyban or hypnotherapy. My main reason for smoking

OCD taking over my life!
I was diagnosed at the age of six with OCD and a few years ago told that I was also suffering with Emetophobia. Before this I was told it was just my OCD. I’m literally petrified of getting vomiting and Diarrhoea. It literally takes over my life. I can’t eat out without taking my own cutlery, avoid

Hypnotherapy?
Do you use Hypnotherapy for therapy sessions? If yes, let us know about the positive effects. Thru the years I've been Hypnotized to help with high blood pressure, an emotional divorce and more. It worked each time. Of course we have to be aware of individual differences. My body has rejected dozens

Always finding an excuse
Good evening, or morning. My 1st post, a little nervous...... I’ve begun to realise, I can’t do this on my own and I’m running out of ways to help me stop. Been trying to quit for..... phew.... I hate to admit 8 years. I’ve had hypnotherapy, those nicorette sticks, gum, vape machines, etc etc. Cost

Anyone Tried Any Hypnotherapy?
Hi all, Haven't posted in a while, as I've been trying to get my head around a new 'diagnosis'. Well, it isn't really a diagnosis, as I paid a lot of money to see a neurologist at Spire recently and after a 30 minute examination and a good read through all of my notes he told me that I have 'un-explainable

How frustrating is this?????
I was diagnosed with PTSD just over a year ago. It was brought on by a life changing brain injury that I suffered in hospital whilst having a minor procedure. I was diagnosed by a neuropsychologist and have been waiting for treatment. After two assessments with a psychologist, I have now been told I

Where to go from here?
So now I've just been told to keep taking painkillers and nsaids indefinitely and try physio (clearly they don't communicate because I've been having physio since april and am just about to finish up my course of
hydrotherapy
). So now I don't know where to go from here.
