Erythromelalgia?
I was diagnosed with cellulitis 5 or 6 weeks ago, I’ve had 2 lots of antibiotics, 2 scans to make sure no blood clots, this redness has spread around my leg and is now starting in the other one. My left leg and foot are quite swollen. I’ve seen various nurses and GP’s - never the same one twice - the

after coming back from Thailand and ran wow that was shock to the system. Had to have a few days off of running due to covid 🤦♀️😱 Today was two days clear of covid thought I’d give it a go and stop if I had to but I took it easy and did it woohoo 🥳 And in good time tbh I must say I feel proud

Covid and Asthma
I am on day 7 of covid. It lowers my peak flow by 30 percent or so and makes me routinely breathless. The thing that gets me is that any asthma triggers then take my breathing very quickly into dangerous territory. So I am a bit confined to no activity, very irritating.

Help needed! 😔
Wondered if anyone could relate or any advice? OK so back in Dec 2021 I started with a runny nose, sneezing, blocked, and neuralgia - I thought I was getting a cold, so a few days passed and still all the same symptoms but I noticed my smell had started to go, which is strange because I've never really

I’m preparing for our next frozen embryo transfer, should start drug protocol next month. It just dawned on me today that I should check if I need any Covid boosters? Anyone know the current advice on this? I had my first covid jab April 2021, 2nd in June 2021 & not had any since. Am I due a booster

Finasteride reversion
I've been on finasteride for almost a year for BPH with excellent results, reducing nighttime activity from 4-5x to 1-2, but for the last week or so I've reverted to 4-5x every night. Has anyone else experienced this? No habits changed or other drugs introduced. I'm trying to investigate the possibility

My CLL, where is the finishing line?
Just over a year ago my “Abnormal CLL” took off. I lost weight rapidly and my 22 cm spleen hurt. I was glad to be offered V+O and after a bad initial reaction settled into the routine. Then the sinusitis and upper respiratory tract infections set in and the cough…. Fair to say I have endured the year

Pneumonia in CBD
Hi I’ve just found out my mum is in hospital with pneumonia and I’m on holiday in Australia - I’m looking for flights and trying to get home asap. Has anyone had experience of getting this when you already have CBD or has anyone had a loved one who has had pneumonia before? I know it’s not a great thing

Forstair runs out before I can get the next prescription. The next installment
I’m being prescribed a forstair every 30 days. I’ve spoken to the pharmacist at the practice and she says: There are 120 doses in an inhaler, 120/4 =30, therefore a new inhaler every 30 days is sufficient. Plus, inhalers have 10% leeway so it’s fine. I’m saying: . it takes 3 to 4 actuations to prime

Starting treatment soon.
First of all, I'm hep c positive, diagnosed decades ago. Everything has been 'good' until recently. I had some bloodwork done about a month ago. My liver enzymes spiked (they've always been good), so my GI doctor ordered a fibroscan. The result was a 13, so I was diagnosed as F3 via the scan. Since

HiIn August 2021 I suddenly developed septic shock. I was rushed straight to ICU. The next day I was heavily sedated and put on a ventilator. I was in my coma for 3 weeks. In that time my family were called in twice as the doctor didn't expect me to make it. I suffered a type 2 heart attack (an MI

EVUSHELD PHASE II. A unique opportunity
I have recently attended Clatterbridge Hospital in Liverpool to participate in the latest Evusheld trial. The trial will take one year to complete and will require further visits throughout that time. Evusheld does not depend on a healthy immune system to generate protective immunity. And while approved

Beautiful night
Although it is late, around 10 , I just got done walking outside. It is very beautiful, snow is falling down hard and it looks like Christmas! It’s strange to think that it is almost April and it’s snowing like this, but I am still enjoying it. I am looking forward to some flowers soon though! Hope you

Long Covid similarities to B12 deficiency
I was just reading through a description of long Covid and was struck by the similarities to B12 deficiency. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/long-term-effects/index.html
