Was initially diagnosed with PMR in April 2022 only to be told a month later by Rheumatologist that it wasn’t PMR but a nasty viral infection. Also had long standing shoulder pain now for over 2 years and neck also very stiff.Had shoulder scanned recently shoeing no tests but SASD bursa distended consistent

Flu, antibiotics and Levo
I’m recovering from quite a bad flu I’m having to take antibiotics 4 times a day, now this is my question. I’m having very severe headache they are worse after my dose of levothyroxine which I’m leaving the 4 hour gap with. Could it just be the antibiotic hasn’t knocked the headache part of the illness

Sensitive. Stopping Crinone Qn
hi everyone. Please don’t read if you’re not in the right headspace. I’ve very luckily had a BFP on my second fresh icsi cycle with NhS. I’m currently 15dp3dt of two embryos and have been told that I don’t need to use the Crinone gel anymore. I’ve a few more left from my previous private cycle and

the never ending hurdles
When we did our 2nd icsi cycle we were told there was a 2% chance of total fertilisation failure, well, we were the 2% and none of our eggs fertilised. Now when pgta testing following our 3rd cycle we were told there was a 2% chance our embryos wouldn’t survive the thaw…and guess what, our top graded

Not impressed
Decided to go through my medical notes such as they are, and blood tests again now I'm more sensible again. All hospital consultations are missed off and consequently diagnoses. Oh, and there is a gp consultation noted that never took place. Basically my notes appear to be a mess. What really

anyone live in (or know well) France?
morning all I’m going on holiday to France soon and fretting about Covid. Specifically whether you can access a sotrovimab (monoclonal antibodies) infusion. I am reasonably confident that the paxlovid pills are available but really wouldn’t want them if i succumbed to Covid whilst away due to having

Covid booster before or after!
- My son gets married on 20th Oct...just 4wks away. - My flu jab has been booked for several weeks now and is for the 26th Sept. - I'd planned to have my covid booster after the wedding just in case I experienced any adverse effects. However, I'm aware that incidences of a new strain of covid are

Shingles jab
I may be the last person to know this, but.......having been told to avoid the shingles jab as it contained a live virus, I've just been told that the NHS no longer use live virus vaccines, so it's safe for MPN patients. I have now had my first shot👍

Bronchitis
I have been coughing on and off for about a month, a few days ago I started feeling really ill. I phoned the surgery and was given an appointment with a nurse practitioner who confirmed it was bronchitis and not a chest infection and gave a prescription for a salbutamol inhaler. Should I be concerned

First run after Covid (the 3rd time): a deliciously drizzly, cloudy run
Mightily proud that I managed to adhere to my plan and get out there today, for a first little run after recovering from Covid. I ran for 21 minutes, including 4 min warmup walk and 2 min cool down walk. I chose NRC 15 min Head Starts, which was perfectly timed. I took the nearest route from my

However for my partner this is very formal and she has to get a special working arrangement agreed to get allow more than the normal number of days each week working from home. She needs to renew this arrangement

Need mental help or support about sharing the ivf procedure with parents and in laws
I'm Indian 36+ ttc since 2016 and moved to UK in 2019. 2 iui + 1ivf icsi FET failure. My parents torture me to the core to share all the details of my process and everytime I tell them they have no rights to ask and I'm not obliged to tell, they start up their drama of being silent. Already my childhood

Common Cold and CLL? What does Immune Compromised actually mean?
So when one gets a "common cold," and has CLL progressing but still in W&W, should one expect to get a worse cold than one would've before the CLL took hold? In the 6 years since diagnosis with 13q/unmutated CLL, my numbers have been creeping up, with ALC recently topping at about 30K, and WBC just
