I have my transfer on Monday morning and have the worst cough I’ve ever had, it’s so chesty and painful. I just wondered if I could take some cough medicine or anything in advance of transfer or if it will affect my lining or chances?
I’m too scared to ask my consultant or clinic in case they cancel my transfer 😬🙁
Any help appreciated xxx

Sorry to hear that, I hope it turns out all ok for you.
Maybe try speaking with your local pharmacist. They may be able to advise you first and reassure you on what you should do.
But either way even if it’s scary, and this transfer feels like what you have most been looking for so it’d be heartbreaking if they said it must wait, my gut feeling is it’d be worse to regret not speaking with your clinic. In your shoes I’d put wanting the transfer to work safely above potentially having to wait another cycle.
And I’d only listen to medical professionals for advice on what medicine to take.
Hi, thank you for checking in. I spoke to a doctor and he said that he thought it was a vital cough/infection and so there was nothing he could give me anyway and just to use natural remedies like lemon juice& honey and steam inhalation with hot water only - no chemicals.
I spoke to the nurse on the morning of the transfer and she said not to worry about it as the embryo will be under many layers. I’m still coughing really badly and I can’t help but worry but trying to think positive and at least my cycle didn’t get cancelled!
