What is your experience with oral thrush and nystatin?
I’m experiencing a bad taste in my mouth that’s affecting my taste of food and sometimes feeling like there’s a lump in my throat when swallowing. . My GP looked in my mouth and said “you may have thrush”. She prescribed Nystatin. I don’t have the white plaques that bleed, etc., just

Introduction
Was a healthy 68 year old until I contracted COVID-19 in May 2022. Approximately, two weeks after getting over the covid, severe muscle aches and pains occurred. Spent a week in pain until doctor diagnosed PMR and put me on Prednisone. For the past year my pain is tolerable but not gone. Five months

Fresh versus Frozen ET & implantation issues
Hi All, first time posting myself here. My partner and I are planning to start our 4th ICSI round in the next month or two. For context, I'm 41 in November, no fertility medical issues myself apart from age now and BMI of 31. It's a male factor infertility due to poor morphology, motility and number.

CELLULITIS
Has anyone had cellulitis? I have had it for just over a week and have just completed a 7 day course of Flucloxacillin. I did not see a doctor - just had to post a photo of my leg, so haven't had the opportunity of discussing it with him. From the web it sounds quite serious, but don't like taking

update on Steroid Injection.
Just an update on my last post. As I mentioned I had the X-ray and scan done privately as there is a long wait for scans on NHS. They were both done and the results were sent straight through to the GP. I had Hoped to get the steroid injection within a couple of days again privately. I telephoned the

Others don’t understand
I know we’re all usually talking about our meds, but I’m wondering how everybody is faring when trying to explain to others what we go through. I’ve had my adult children question why I take oxycodone. Some seem to understand, some are very judgmental. RLS can start at 10:30 am, and is why I’m spreading

possible heart strain
I had Covid in February 2023. 3 weeks later I started getting breathless. I managed my normal activities but eventually I found I struggled with my daily 2/3 walks and walking up the stairs at home. Tested my oxygen levels with our oxymeter, which came out at 89, 90, 93. This happened over a weekend

My father recently got covid and had to be hospitalised for the same. He got covid related pneumonia and had to be on oxygen support (nasal cannula) for the first two days of his hospital stay. He also had elevated d dimer and CRP values. Doctors at the centre put him on a 5 day course of remdesvir

Methotrexate for the summer
Hi lovely friends, Some of you will recall back in February that I had a flare with rash that my Rheumy, Dr A, didn’t recognise as a Lupus rash. He is still adamant it wasn’t Lupus then but that the progression, which 2 weeks later was confirmed by the Dermatologist as a Lupus rash, was! 🤷🏼♀️
