Pip update
I had my telephone interview today with the pip assessment for mobility. It was really hard to speak about how my mental health affects me by the end I was crying I felt frazzled and violated. The man Danny who did my interview was really nice and understanding I hope he writes down properly how things

PSA back on the rise - or hitting Nadir?
Hi everyone. I'm hoping to tap back into the wisdom of this crowd. First DX in 2009 with Gleason 3+4/PSA 3.7. Had HDR Brachy and Low-Dose EBRT with Casodex. All good (nadir of 0.11) for 6 years, then BCR. I started Prostap injections \= \\bicalutamide 50 mg in Jan 2020 when PSA was >5. A sudden drop

Therapist dilemma
since my gf ended things two weeks ago, I’ve had dreams of her leaving me in different ways every night. I wake up very sad and that feeling lingers for the rest of the day. This is just added on top of the “regular” major depressive episode I’m in the midst of. I’ve known I need to find a therapist

Sensitive post. Success story
I wanted to share my story briefly with you all so you don't give up. I used to always look for success stories on here and they always filled me with hope, so I hope this post does the same for you too . TTC for 8 years. 4 [natural] miscarriages. 3 failed IVF/ICSI at Nuffield. Removed mild endo. All

Honesty @ 10.30pm
I've struggled with anxiety and depression for many years but only got officially diagnosed this year in January. To be honest the diagnosis came as no surprise and it really didn't affect my life all too much. I struggle with self esteem, feelings of rejection, not being good enough, loneliness and

Bringing Awareness to Lynch Syndrome
I'd like to bring awareness to Lynch Syndrome, since less than 1.5% of people who have Lynch Syndrome know they have it. Questioning if I should question my doctor's decision to start treatment or decision not to order genetic testing before that Tx.
[ Dx 2013, 13q, mutated, basically asymptomatic] Sept lab results were personal worsts (both red & white enough to make one blue). ALC near 100K, RBC, Hgb, & Plt all abnormal for 1st time. But it was the anemic hemoglobin # (by which I mean the # indicated I was anemic), that seemed to trigger the

Hi all, I am new to this platform. I am 24 and a graduate student. I think I've always had trouble with anxiety and depression, but it didn't receive recognition until last year. I've been looking into counseling, but I've had trouble finding someone who is available for new clients. Currently, I'm

Fatigue and depression
Has anyone found any meaningful help dealing with the feeling of depression which accompanies fatigue? I’ve tried CBT and person centred counselling. Spent more time convincing And educating the therapists about RA and that the fatigue/depression is not something I can control than I did getting any

Getting through the night
I just found this page my Dr. Recommended. I wanted to talk about this to see if anyone has felt like this. 2 days ago I really felt the effects of crippling depression. I really felt like I was fighting with myself, I've had depression from a young age but I always somewhat pushed off what I felt and

New Here and looking to discuss Long Term PTSD
I am obviously new to this forum and would like to connect with others, especially women, who have been living with and have been treated for PTSD and depression. I won't go into my whole sordid story, but it involves early childhood trauma, alcoholism, sexual and physical abuse, a lifetime of bad relationships

Has anyone else had this type pain?
Ok. I know I’ve been posting a lot over the last 3 weeks. If this is endometriosis then I have never had a flare up or symptoms like this before. I was diagnosed with endometriosis over a year ago through laparoscopy. I just mean that the doctors initially thought that there was another reason for my

Two very frustrating experiences. Cancer is not always the problem.
Since I have stopped my chemotherapy treatment, I have been looking into other options. It's interesting . I did not know this until I did some research recently but in the us, oncologists are the only group of doctors out of the medical practice that are allowed to make a profit from writing prescriptions

A top up perhaps
I was thinking of those of us who seem to grieve for a very long time and wondered if a 'Top up' of Counselling seemed a good idea, say after 3years or less. What's your opinion? I'd love to know, thank you! Chloe<3

CMT carrier
I have genetic testing stating I am a CMT4j carrier. But I believe I have CMT symptoms. Typical high arches with 8 hammer toes. Peripheral neuropathy. Pain in hands, weak hands and respiratory issues. Is it possible to be a carrier WITH symptoms? My neuromuscular doctor says no.
