CT Tomography
I am having a CT Tomography tomorrow to see if I have any Artery Blockage ( due to my younger brothers recent Triple Heart Bypass because of blockages, and Heart problems run in family).. My CT Scan is less intrusive than having the Angiogram which goes through the vein at your wrist.... what I want

Does anybody else feel like your clinicians think you are talking out of your backside when you tell them how ill you feel?
During a
gastric
bypass
my surgeon found my liver to be huge and recent scans have found my spleen is enlarged as well. On a routine follow up with the dietician I was asked if I had heard from my GP as they had written to her twice regarding concerns with my blood results.

Life is good.
I am a woman who at 61 years of age had a heart attack on my first day of retirement. I woke up and had heaviness and aching in both arms, plus pain in my shoulder, neck and jaws. I have been aware of the different symptoms of heart attacks for women. I lost my father at age 45 to a heart attack and

Introduction and a query
I received an APS diagnosis early this morning. It caught me completely off guard. I spent a good bit of time today doing the google research thing. I'm more confused than ever. I have bilateral Meniere's disease. I've already had the left inner ear chemically removed and the right ear is deteriorating

Gastric bypass
Hi all, I had a
gastric
bypass
on October 8th and a few members asked me to let them know my progress. I have lost 4stone 5lb during this time !!!!!!! It's actually been a lot easier than I thought it would be. I'm now eating normal foods but sticking to the healthy option.

Coming off Statins
I am 61 years old have had a stent fitted 14 years ago and recently had a CABGx2. When I had the CABG I hoped to come off the cocktail of drugs that I had been taking for the last 14 years particular statins and beta blockers. (Beta blockers tend to give me side effects so the cardiologist reduced

Tickle in the throat & cough with levothyroxine use.....
Hello everyone! I sure am glad I found you, because I'm a bit upset. I live in the United States and I'm having a rough time with my father's family doctor, which isn't anything new. My dad's on 50 mcg of levothyroxine, but gets a tickle in his throat and a persistent, frequent little cough. After

I'm not an alcoholic!
Hi All, Firstly, I have recently had a gastric balloon fitted, if you would like to know more, I will not be doing an open post but please do DM me. This is a funny topic for me to talk about, but one that I feel needs addressing and yes, it will contribute to weight gain but I don't feel that I am

Feel doomed
I have just gotten back from the hospital where the Dr told me after an ultrasound and scan that she she can't see my ovaries because of my weight and that I shouldn't worry about no periods until I've sorted my weight and considered a gastric band as its very dangerous. Now, I have no problem with
