Week 8 here I come....

2 months since my last post and I am happy to report I have completed Week 7 and can comfortably run for 25 mins (actually kept going for another minute or so after the end this morning because I had a point on my route I wanted to reach). So...although my progress is s..l..o..w it is definite measurable progress.

I am currently running one day per week on average and taking a lunch time walk every day at work. Life has been very busy studying and working full time. Also driving 3.5 hrs on a regular basis to Wales to visit my Mum who has recently had a leg amputation following not long after quadruple heart bypass last summer. Her health issues have spurred me on to get fitter and think about my health very seriously. If you need any motivation to keep running go and visit a hospital !!! She is making really good recovery at age 79 bless her.

Anyway I hope to graduate one day soon. Enjoy your running everybody....

Sounds like great progress GW. Graduation isn't too far off. Sounds like you're really busy, hopefully the running and walking helps to de-stress a little.

It sounds like you have a lot on your plate so well done on getting out to run ☺ Sometimes, when life is fraught, a good run is an antidote to all the pressure☺

Good luck with your fitness plans ☺
