Just an update
I had my assessment on the 13th May where I was told I was a perfect candidate for a
gastric
bypass
. I suffer with very bad reflux so the sleeve is not an option.

My weight was 20 stone and I went for a
gastric
bypass
as I could not lose weight. I was in theatre and was woken up to find I had a tumour in the womb that would require treatment before I could continue with my bypass surgery. My womb had a growth of tumour that was 14lb in weight.

Gastric Bleeding. Emergency Surgery
I had a laproscopic Roux-en-Y in 2009 and have dropped from 26 stones to 14 stones. I was put on Oemoprazole to protect my Stomach Lining. Last year my GP reviewed all my Meds and believed Oemoprazole was no longer needed. 3 days ago I was rushed into my nearest NHS Hospital with severe pain in abdomen

The Reality of what we are up against in the UK

The trouble is I am back to a size 26, now with a host of other diseases which

Centric angiogram
Can anyone tell me what a CT centric angiogram is,I have been having trouble with stomach cramps for almost 2 years, I,ve had a colonoscopy, which was clear, and an endoscopy which showed a Hiatus Hernia, but my Rhuemy thinks I may have narrowed blood vessels in my stomach which may or may not be related

Edema anyone?
Wondering if anyone has experience with edema (swelling, fluid retention) in the legs and belly. I've had quite a bit over the past 10-15 days and am quite discouraged. I've gained around 15-20 pounds. My GI doctor suggested a salt restricted diet and compression stockings (miserable in the southern

Just a thought
What if every member on here. wrote to the daily mail with their story. they are always asking for folk to do this. this might highlight the problems that folk are facing. especially if everyone did it. I am really horrified when I see what a battle most folk have with their doctors and the arrogant

Learn to Help Yourself First !
3 YEARS OF FRUSTRATION BUT LEARNED TO DIAGNOSE MYSELF ! I now know for certain that many doctors in local surgeries are NOT aware of many medical problems with their patients. The best thing I did was to learn from my laptop all there was to know about what my illness was and how to treat it myself.

Miss Piggy.....
Plus on research there seems to be a connection with having a
gastric
bypass
...which I have had. I know its common sense that I shall now eat earlier and not be so greedy but do I really have to give up sweets too? Or is it just the amount that I eat at once...or are sweets a trigger too.
