Familial Hypercholesterolemia? - Maybe, but probably not
I was told I had familial hypercholesterolemia - a genetic pre-disposition to excess production of cholesterol. I had bypass surgery in March 2015 and was given a cocktail of pills post-surgery, including 40 mg of Crestor. After limited success by eliminating red meat and reducing simple carbohydrates

New member who has had weight loss surgery.
I jumped through all of the hoops and in August 2015, I had
gastric
bypass
surgery. My high weight was 291, and the weight has come off of me. This last 15 months have been hard, but they have also been so worth it.

Weight loss is more in the mind than in the stomach...
I was reading a post about Gastric Band Surgery and the before and after support they have...and how eventually, their success (or not) can depend more on their state of mind than the size of their newly reduced stomach! I am of the opinion that my need to eat is rarely related to my appetite...it is

Hope
I've been a pain person for the past 6 years following a heart attack & stroke in May 2010 & heart bypass surgery Oct 2010. The last 2 - 3 years have been sheer hell About 4 weeks ago. I have done all the things pain people will be familiar with. I have tried more drugs (prescription) than I can remember

Not yet a definitive diagnosis...hurry up and wait.
Unfortunately, due to my history of
gastric
bypass
last year, I couldn't drink the prep as fast as I needed to and my bowel prep was sub-optimal. She didn't see the mass, but thought she saw bleeding hemorrhoids.
