Getting back fitness slowly but surely
Hi everyone, so nice to share this experience with you all. After 5 years without regular exercise I finally got myself to start C25K. I am in week 5 now and very proud of myself for still going. If you've only just started, keep it up. It's a very good programme and I already feel fitter than I was

W6R2 Sorted!
To be honest, it didn't feel quite as hard as W6R1 and according to my
fitness
app, I ran/walked at a slightly faster pace and burned more calories. Woohoo. That was the last of the interval runs now so it's getting serious. My next run is 25 mins non-stop but I know I can do it.

Consistently low V02?
My Garmin says I have a
fitness
age of 51 (I'm 46). I feel quite disheartened by it. I started running around 2 years ago and consistently run three times a week unless on the IC.

Where to start back
I have kept up my
fitness
with cycling and walking but unsure where to go back to. Would I repeat week 4 or go further back do you think? Many thanks

HR Zone 3
Garmin hates me and has added 2 years to my
fitness
age but itβs a baseline zone 3 run and we shall see what happens over the next few months Just to compare my heart rate usually starts in zone 3 creeps up to zone 4 and still sometimes dips into zone 5 it seems the longer I run the higher it usually

HHM Training Week 2 Day 5
Iβll wait for the end of the week when it cools down a little and see if my much improved
fitness
translates to outdoors. My stomach is still a bit epic and so Iβll wait for another two weeks and then maybe start weighing myself just to keep me honest. Iβm great at self deception over weight.

So, I ranβ¦β¦.. and I ran for my first 10K ππ»ββοΈπ ( totally messed up the tracking on the Garmin thoβ ππ€¦ββοΈ) β¦β¦.Thatβs life !π
Today I got up at 6 , lots of stretching and out to run , determined to get back to 2/3 runs a week and get my
fitness
back ( how many times Iβve written that one π¬π€¦ββοΈ) I optimistically chose NRC β Fear Lessβ 5K Run , really enjoyed it until my phone died at 3K . I will do it again thoβ .

W5R3 Done
But I am impressed that I kept going and I didn't take too long to recover - maybe 2-3 mins into the cool down walk (I read somewhere this was a good indicator of
fitness
level).

Where do I start?
I despair, if any other
fitness
/diet guru says take control, I shall scream. Trying to navigate 13 st 10 5 foot 4 with arthritis, is making me want to give up. I feel detached from the world. I eat sensibly and am losing a bit but everything hurts.

Living with AF and ICD unit
I was coping really well before having my ICD but Iβm struggling with getting back on track with
fitness
. I love to swim, walk and be active. Been 6weeks since my operation. Would love to know more about how to live with AF and an IC D unit.

? Lockdown induced Reduced Exercise Tolerance
Has anyone a suggested return to
fitness
programme or has an alternate explanation. Prior to lockdown all was well.

Update! Running and the journey so far!
Running has given me the confidence I need :) In terms of my weight and
fitness
, itβs going great! When I started I was pretty unfit and at least 4 and a half stone overweight. Iβve lost 3 and a half stone and Iβm getting really close to achieving my end goal.

According to my

dealing with specific sensations relating to trauma
the reason why it causes these emotions/sensations is because I was given a Fitbit at this one facility I was sent to in order to monitor my
fitness
level and monitor my heart rate while exercising (I had to get my heart rate to an average of 135bpm over an hour, and it is also connected to forced dieting
