Best run of the year!

Went out yesterday at 8am, and although the title is s bit of a joke because obviously that was the only run I've done in 2022, it was still a reasonably good time.

December was a real up and down time as I was ill for a week and had a lingering cough (not covid thankfully) and then the weather was just awful. Heat I can cope with, cold not really a problem, but I do hate rain! I ran once in December, but didn't find I'd lost any fitness. Also think the break did me some good as I'd had a bit of a niggle in my calf, but now have new shoes and they're all springy!

Anyway, a Happy 2022 and happy running to you all, whether you're a regular, a sporadic runner, or just starting your fitness journey.

Pt 2...Thanks for your coment that your recent enforced time off would be good for you. It is too easy to view all breaks as being entirely bad news.

I've just had an enforced break due to a tenacious stomach bug. Thanks to you, I'll consider the benefits to my body as a whole .
