Walking, Running, And a LOT of determination
I have since worked hard to rebuild my
fitness
with help and advice from cardiac rehab teams at both Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton and my GP and a local sports physiotherapist! I have been doing A LOT of walking , some of which have been posted here .

#ParkRun18 complete & Week 4 Done
Did it in 47mins which is roughly a 2mins improvement so my
fitness
is getting better! Really enjoy it! Monday no run club so a few of us have signed to do some local road runs! Only doing 2.5 miles but it cover the Week 5 run 1!

Physical Activity & COPD resulting in sickness
To date, its mostly been treated with inhalers as and when needed and for a long time she's been (relatively) fit - up until Covid hit, she was capable of a robust 9 holes of golf but shielding and so on have really knocked her
fitness
down and mostly now her activity is limited to a quick trip to town

4K at the lakeside 😊👍
I wanted to do 4K, which at my current
fitness
level (still struggling a little after Covid) takes me about 35 minutes. The temperature was about 14. Not cold enough for running tights yet! Happy in my shorts and t-shirt.

Hello! Wk5 run 3 ahead
I'm gradually seeing my
fitness
improve though and I am starting to see a small weight loss, so I am sticking with it. Anyone else at the same stage as me?

A 25 minute run 😊🏃♀️👍
I covered 3K on this run, which I was pleased with for my current level of
fitness
. I often try to speed up for the last km, which I did today - 7:35. I stopped at 3K, a few seconds short of 25 minutes. 😊👍🏃♀️☕️

Future...who knows, I'm healthy, fitter than I was pre HA, still get tired at the end of the day, work FT, still attend a post rehab
fitness
class (same but harder & more intensive), "if you do what you always did, you'll get what you always got!"

Advice on recent Bloods please
I really want to improve my
fitness
but this is hard when you feel so drained , hard to find the motivation. I am hoping that supplementing with vitamins will help . But I am looking for advice to be specific with supplementing and to choose the best products.

If anyone has any tips on how best to start the programme & slowly build up my
fitness
when unused to running up & down hills I would very much welcome them. Thank you!

Struggling.. Again
I want to be accountable so I'm thinking about rejoining My
fitness
pal. But the last time I was on there I got overly obsessed with counting calories. Restricting a lot which I personally think contributed to developing an eating disorder. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Rather scared. What does this mean?
My
fitness
levels are improving little by little. I walked 3/4 of a km tonight. I kept having to stop every 150 ft but because my lower stomach (an inch above my navel) felt tight and like my diaphragm was stopping me.

Back for the 3rd time
I decided to go out running 2 weeks ago, just to test my
fitness
levels, without any real plan of what I was going to do. My run was cut short due to bad blistering on my left heel after about 5 mins, I was about to just throw the running shoes away.

Really starting at couch level (lack of) fitness level
I am not healthy. I was really really unhealthy this past year. I am only now beginning to have good days. I have been motivating myself to use the “Active 10” a free APP by the NHS. Unbelievable as it is being active for ten minutes three times a week is challenging and not yet obtainable. I fortunately

My health and
fitness
isn’t great due to the impact of covid (wasn’t hospitalised) but I miss my running but every time I tried I relapsed. Any tips to slowing the C25K down so the impact isn’t as harsh as there is no way I can start the way I did before and I just don’t know where to begin.

Beta blockers and maximum heart rate ?
I've tried a quick "google search" and found a couple of formulae - e.g without B-blockers 206-(0.67 x age) With B-blockers 164 -(0.7 x age) This is obviously important in calculating heart rate targets to gain the most benefit from
fitness
training.
