Having first graduated in 2019 and then again in 2020, I went on to complete the 10km program too. I then had the bug for running, completing 10-15km a week throughout 2020 and 2021.
But for a few personal reasons and a health scare, I’ve hardly run at all in 18 months.
I decided to go out running 2 weeks ago, just to test my fitness levels, without any real plan of what I was going to do. My run was cut short due to bad blistering on my left heel after about 5 mins, I was about to just throw the running shoes away.
But after some thought, I’ve decided to get back into it and to make sure I do it right, I’m starting back at week 1 of the C25K plan.
About to go out for run 1. I’ll probably post a weekly update, as disappointed as I am to start again, I’ll try not cut any corners.

Well done to you ScottJB on restarting C25K after a 18 months break from running, take all the runs slowly, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, drink plenty of water especially during warm weather, no running on consecutive days as that could cause a injury,, by all means report back here on your progress, good luck.
Well done and welcome back... Loads of us have been here, loads have repeated.. more than once too!
It is familiar, like an old friend... you know all the shortcomings, the delights and the possible tricky bits?
Just do it and enjoy it... slow and steady... take the rest days...pop in some strength and stamina work on some rest days, ( loads of ideas on the strength and flex forum)....
And...main thing, keep posting and of course... enjoy! x
