2 steps forward - 1 massive step back!!!
Hello Hearties, I am now 5 1/2 weeks in since my STEMI with 2 stents fitted, 2 subsequent hospital stays to get the meds balanced to reduce fluid my body was retaining. Finally at the end of last week I began to feel that I was turning the corner, feeling stronger, Ramipril cough had started easing

Unexplained sweating/nausea
Morning all Had 5 stents inserted in Nov/Dec last year and despite all the usual discomforts/worries haven't had too much trouble with them. Until a week ago when I started to feel a general chest discomfort culminating yesterday when I awoke at 4.00 with pounding palpations followed by full body sweating

Weight Loss and heart meds
Hi, I'm on medication after having a mild heart attack (no stents needed) back in 2017. I've recently made an effort to lose weight for my own health. I've lost about 2 stone in 6 months and wondered if some of my meds should be reduced .I'm taking 1.25mg Ramipril, 80mg Atorvastatin, Aspirin and 5mg

Is it Bisoprolol?
Just wondering if dropping a dose of bisoprolol from 2.5mg to 1.25mg can make you feel light headed and down and need the toilet all the time. The reason I say this is I have changed from Ramipril to losartin and from Avortastatin to Ruvortastin but take these at night. Two weeks before I was told to

Ramipril and Furosemide and RLS
I was just wondering if anyone else is prescribed these medications? I was retaining a lot of water last year and my blood pressure was through the roof at times and now I take Furosemide 40mg for the water retention and Ramipril 2.5 caps for my blood pressure. I don’t know how long I’ll be on this

New here, with my diagnosis.
I have just had my letter from the hospital with the results of my CT Scan.aThe CT scan shows significant narrowing of at least one of the main coronary arteries and also one of the coronary artery branches. My consultant has asked for an urgent coronary angioplasty. The report shows heavy calcium

Second opinion update
Saw cardiology registrar for second opinion on my angina type pain after being dismissed by other local hospital Listened properly to me and discussed my concerns re microvascular or vasospastic angina. Am starting amlodipine and have been referred for a stress MRI rather than angiogram as non invasive

Depression /low mood and anxiety with felodipine and intolerance to bp meds.
Hi, I'm wondering how many of you have had depression or low mood on felodipine? I've been taking it for 3 months now and have definitely noticed a big dip in my moods. I'm a lot more anxious too. It's on the list of rare side effects but I wonder if it's more common than that. I've tried many meds

Ramipril 2.5mg
I've been taking these for just over a week now as felodipine didn't suit. I've developed stomach cramps and wondered if it's connected to ramipril. Doctor s surgery is not available so cannot ask any questions

Hi!
New Member. Hi! Life long cardiac patient. Am 41 years if age and had aortic heart valve replacement at 15 years if age. Have been on warfarin therapy and Ramipril for years. Generally well but recent test shows reduced pumping capacity and now have been referred for MRI. May well be facing valve replacement
