Anyone else on here with heart failure , caused by left ventricular impairment ? Wonder what treatment you are on. I got a call Monday from the cardiac nurse to tell me my ejection factor which was around 40% last year, is now 25--30% from a scan last week. The damage I believe was caused Chemo back

Teva ingredients in Ramipril 5mg for hypertension, anyone?
Does anyone take medication for hypertension? I was recently given Teva brand Ramipril and after a few days the symptoms I get when I used to have Teva levo, reared their ugly heads. I have tried to find the ingredients of the Teva Ramipril to see if it contains fillers the same as in the levothyroxine

Takeaways, snacks and alcohol if you have heart failure, can you still have treats and enjoy yourself?
Hi guys not sure if this sounds absolutely daft and I hope it’s appropriate to post here, I have been diagnosed with left ventricular systolic dysfunction with an ejection fraction of 40-50% as of January after having an echo and I’m currently on Ivabradine and ramipril. I’ve always been fit, strong

Devastated...congenital heart failure...So afraid
Went for yearly blood test today to GP surgery and the nurse left the room and I took a peak at computer screen with my health details on it. Literally, as I read what was on the screen I was shocked...went weak at the knees and had to sit down after reading the words, Congenital Heart Failure!!!! Apart

Diltiazem v Bisoprolol & Felodipine
Have ongoing (daily episodes) of paroxysmal AF - more palpitations than actual racing heartbeat. Recently prescribed Diltiazem instead of Bisoprolol & Felodipine. Anyone on this or changed to it from a beta blocker??

How much can anti-hypertensives affect GFR?
How much can medication affect a GFR? 62 yr old female, resistant hypertension since aged 18. Take ARBs, epleronone, bisoprolol, furosemide, amlodipine, amiloride. BP fantastically well controlled now for past 16 years. It was under medicated for years by my GP who said it was only white coat hypertension

Cardiomyopathy and ICD and Pacemaker
Ramipril and bisoprolol are recognized beneficial drugs for heart failure. Your cardiologist will up titrate their doses to the maximum doses. ICD and a pacemaker are also widely used nowadays and they have a specific function which is different from the above medications. Your cardiologist is the best

Generic Med Reactions
I have a question regarding generics for Amlodipine 10 mg. I recently started Amlodipine 10 mg. Got my first prescription for one month and it was a generic from Ascend Laborato and it worked beautifully, no side effects whatsoever. Now my insurance requires for long-term maintenance drugs you go

Pulled muscles and strains?
I take Bisoprolol and Apixaban, more recently I've been prescribed Ramipril. I'm 59. For the last few months I've suffered from what I can only describe as pulled muscles. This started before I started on the Ramipril. I had a shoulder operation and at first thought the strain in my upper back and neck

My experience with BP
My hypertension is of the inherited variety: I suffered a hypertension crisis mid November 2020; to cut a long shaggy dog story short I am on 10mg Amlodopine and 2.5mg Ramipril with 10mg of Atorvastatin for good measure so far with few side effects. To say that my BP was coming down gradually even grudgingly

Side effects or illness?
My husband’s blood pressure had always been high - but in November 2020 he was prescribed Losartan after a trip to the hospital. He had been prescribed prednisone shortly before for sinusitis. Since then he’s developed intrusive thoughts and low mood. A second course of prednisone, antibiotics, and
