amlodipine cost
wondered why docs put you on amlodipine, just found out it costs 1pound for 28 tablets, where others cost aprox 16pound ie Lercanidipine,i suppose that is why there are many problems with it. so most are treated with the cheapest pills there are.

What’s an ideal reading on blood pressure medication?
My husband had a HA 3yrs ago and has been on the following daily. Amlodipine 5mg Ramipril 10mg Atorvastatin 40mg Aspirin 75mg His blood pressure readings have been bit high (I think) and we are going back to consultant to discuss but I just wondered what is an ideal range when you are on blood pressure

Urine Flow
Not the greatest of questions, has anyone had reduced urine flow while on basic heart meds [ statins, Ramipril, bisoprolol, aspirin etc ] and being a man of 63 I have just had my prostrate cancer tests, { neg }. I have really noticed a reduction in the flow power not the amount as I’m on co-amilofruse

What are your thoughts on Pain Control
A quick note about me: Dx at age 52 Jan 2020 with PSA at 170. Eventually got started on ADT in April 2020 with PSA at 300. Gleason 7 3+4. Extensive bone mets all over my skeleton , as well as a few Lymph nodes. I had minimal pain, mainly back ache, which I thought at the time was due to a back injury

Leg pain from blood pressure drug?
Hi guys. My mum has had very severe lower leg pain for 2 months. This and swollen ankles started after starting amlodipine. Ankles went away when stopped but legs are worse. Does anyone have experience of this? Seems a few others on the web have had similar side effect. GP thinks nerve issue and gave

Ramipril side effects
I've been taking 5 mg ramipril for many years for high blood pressure, however,in the last year my weight has reduced from over 14 stone to 11.5 stone .Recently I've been getting more than usual palpitations especially at night,so I've been closely checking my blood pressure and noticed it's been quite

Ranolazine, amlodipine and lansoprazo now suggested to take Isosobine mononitrate as well. GTN spray has little effect. Advice, please.
Diagnosed with MVA, eventually, after all the usual frustrations of being made to feel a total fraud since nothing was found through numerous painful ‘attacks’ and the usual ECGs and angiogram. At 62 and previously a very fit male, I’m very thankful to the cardiologist who suspected MVA and put me on

How to get rid of persistent dizziness and vertigo when taking Lisinopril, Ramipril or Losartan?
Hi, Can anyone advise on how to deal with persistent dizziness/vertigo? My father (who's in his 80s) has had high blood pressure for years but it's been well controlled til 6 months ago when he had a 'crisis' and ended up in hospital (hypertensive encephalopathy). Since then he's been prescribed Clopidogrel

Amlodopine! The Gp go to for cheap BP meds ......then go to Hospital... A cautionary tale
Well interesting few weeks is the understatement of the year..... Hospital twice and 5 weeks of hell ensued after a simple check up lead to a BP med I didn't need . All started with a health check at the surgery for my type 2 diet controlled type 2 diabetes in March , well under 45 Hbc1, told "perfect

Hello everyone, I'm new here - just found out there's some damage to my heart muscle so I'm now on Ramipril and Carvedilol. I had a really successful mitral valve repair in 2006 and have had a wonderful medication-free and active 15 years since then so I feel really lucky. I just wondered if people

New subsrcriber with Tinnitus
I'm new. I have very sever Tinnitus. Once self employed but now a full time 24/7/365 Carer for a terminally ill close family friend. My Tinitus is a iron/steel hammer banging down on an Anvil constantly. It's deafening and making me unwell. Current treatments are Zopiclone for sleep (x3) per week.

Changing MTX For HxQ
Having to leave MTX after more than 10 years due to side effects. Looking at Hydrochloroquine to replace it. My eyes are good having had cateracts done and artificial lenses put in. I take Ramipril for arythmia and no longer have the symptom. What can I expect with that change. Does one start low
