Getting back out there... and Exercise
Hi all.... so back in September I had a CRT-D implant and after seeing my consultant at 8 week check he was happy for me to stay on the ONE tablet... Ramipril... and he advised raw honey to help protect my heart (I now know a friendly bee keeper) so all in all a very lucky lady. However as some of you

AF, heart failure and Digoxin
Hi, I started with AF in my mid thirties, I am now 60, and in 2013 was diagnosed with heart failure through mild left ventricular impairment due to right ventricular pacing (I am on my second pacemaker) and 2 leaking Valves. After the HF diagnosis I was put on Bisoprolol and ramipril, and kept on Digoxin

WP thyroid to NP thyroid
First day of switch over from WP to NP. Took usual dose, 1 3/4 grains, at 07.30. At the moment have quite noticeable headache, towards front of head. Heart rate is higher than it has been, couple of dizzy spells. Weirdly very runny nose, could be coincidence. Don’t feel as energised or as sharp,

Diarrhea and mycophenolate
Hi, my son has Mpa from March 2017 and he takes prednisone, mycophenolate (myfortic) and ramipril. He's doing well apart from diarrhea caused by mycophenolate. He had to stop mmf for a week and he became almost costipated. The doctor say not to worry because mmf is to important for him but I would like

Amlodipine 5mg
Been on this dose for approximately 2 weeks now and I feel floored. Getting mild chest discomfort which was not there before and feeling anxious too. I also take 2.5mg Bisoprolol and 40mg Atorvastatin. I feel worse now than I did before I received my diagnosis. I know I need protecting but this can't

Stomach trouble with antibiotics
Hi all. Just had an embarrassing and traumatic incident where I couldn’t get to a toilet in time. Is it common to have diarrhoea with some of the meds we take? I’m on incruse, ventalin, prednisalone, losartan, amlodipine and clarithromycin. This thing just keeps on giving...

Second run
Managed my second run with Sarah Milligan today. Not easy but better than Sunday. I am hoping diet and exercise will reduce my blood pressure so I no longer need medication. I am currently taking Ramipril 5 mg. once a day. I think that is quite a low dose. Love to hear from others with similar plans

Bisoprolol update
Just wanted to share how I've been since my last/first post! So I've been back on Biso 5mg since Wednesday after four days trying 7.5mg to get my BP lower, (GP's decision), which has left me with very frequent and unsettling palps. Thursday & Fridya evening I felt settled and wondered if I'd turned a

Ramipril
ok I have seen my consultant. He said the echocardiogram I had has shown my heart has weakened slightly but that's normal when you have AF. He has given me Ramipril to address this and says 1.25MG is a really small dose. They are going to cardio avert me but instead of keeping me on digoxin they are

Different advice
Not a question really but having just had a follow up chat with the pharmacist after starting my meds I told her how low my BP went half hour after taking the bisoprol 5mg and ramipril 5mg along with the aspirin in the mornings .she asked why I was taking them both at the same time and said I should

Why all the drugs at once?...
I had a visit to the chest pain clinic last Wednesday. After describing my symptoms, I had a ECG, and was booked in for a CT scan on the 19th of this month. I was then given a prescription for: Bisoprolol 2.5mg, rising to 5mg after 5 days, Ramipril 2.5mg, Atavorstatin 20mg, Aspirin 75mg, and Nitromin
