Amlodipine and light headedness
I have been prescribed 5mg Amlodipine and after a couple of days I became extemely light headed.....to the point when I had to stop taking it. More or less as soon as I stopped my light headedness went away. I am in my contact with my doctora about it as this is the second time she's tried it out on

Entresto???
so today I had an Echo done , 3 months after my diagnosis and being placed on Ramipril. My ejection fraction was 25% , 3 months ago and was still the same today. I was told I have the heart of a man 25 years senior to me. I was taken of Ramipril and placed on Entresto. Any members experience the same

Coming off Ramipril for Hernia operation
I have a hernia op in a few days but I'm worried about my Ramipril cough putting too much stress on my hernia repair for the first few weeks. I've got used to holding my hernia in when I cough or sneeze, but I'm wondering if too much coughing straight after the op will affect the mesh and stitches which

side effects of ramipril
I've been prescribed Ramipril, although never had problems with BP - understand ramipril is excellent in supporting heart function. Only taking 1.25mgs atm as GP waiting to see if I can 'tolerate' it. Since starting taking it a week ago I've had a blocked nose and am beginning to feel slightly

Anxiety 1 year after CABG
Hi I had a double CABG July 2018 when I was 50. Initially everything seemed fine afterwards and I had very little pain or discomfort. Since about February this year I have had more discomfort from my chest and left shoulder. Sometimes I can tell it is muscular but sometimes I have anxiety that it could

New here, post stent x 2...and still working out the kinks..apologies a long story!
As like many here I thought I was fit and healthy with normal blood pressure and cholesterol.... but both my brother and father had heart attacks in their 30's. I made it to 61 before I was taken down by a cream scone!! I couldn't decide if I had indigestion but had mild tingling in my jaw and my heart

Simvastatin
I am 76 years old and have taken Simvastatin 20mg and Amlodipine 5mg for 16 years, and Bendroflumethiazide 2.5mg for 5 years - prescribed due to elevated Systolic blood pressure only. The affects that may be caused by Simvastatin are muscle cramps in lower legs for 16 years that have increased over time

on the hamster wheel, and help
As I have posted over the past months, I had been awaiting from April to get to see a new GP. This day finally came. I prepared with all my notes, all the medical charts and testing papers I could get from previous Doctors whom I saw from 2005-2019, my journals of daily life, my home practices of pain

Amlodipine and Raynauds, fluid retention etc
I was prescribed Amlodipine for Raynauds even though I always have low blood pressure. They don't seem to do anything . I also suffer fluid retention in my feet and legs and extreme stiffness ,which I'm not sure is caused by Raynauds or the medication and sometimes end up with Cellulitis in my feet and

Varying Blood Pressure
Five years ago I was diagnosed with high blood pressure. I was prescribed amlodipine. At the time I was employed in a high pressure job but I was told that I would probably have to keep taking the medication. Since I retired my blood pressure reduced considerably so in consultation with my GP I stopped

Dizzy due to meds
Husband's Meds (bisoprolol 1,25 mg and ramipril 10 mg ) prescribed after non stemi heart attack are causing low blood pressure and dizziness. Pulse only 48. As he didn't have high blood pressure before non stemi attack and the low BP could cause a fall should he stop them ?

Newly diagnosed
Hi everyone newly diagnosed after BP has been slowly rising for 2 years despite changing my diet and becoming more active. Put on ramipril yesterday and took my first dose last night. The pharmacist said I could take them whenever I wanted as long as it was the same time every day. I wondered when you

Stent pain
Following recent cabg surgery I had further problems and a stent was put into one of the grafts 2 weeks ago. I continue to have chest pain so returned to A&E this week on advice of GP but the consultant is sure it’s stent pain. So why didn’t the cardiac consultant give me pain killers while I was in

Hyperthyroid and heart failure
Last year I had left ventricular failure with a ejection fraction of 35 but the last test was an ej of 55. I take ramipril 2x 5mg and have been told to stay on it for life as an article in the lancet says if I stop my heart failure could return. Is this correct. I have also been hyperthyroid for several
